Re-visiting this masterwork after quite a lot of time. Now, I can understand much more what's happening, and it amazes me even more than originally. The textures, technique, everything is just so well crafted. I will take classes with you in the future, I'll do my bests to study in Lucerne, hahaha.
Cette musique est résolument somptueuse....richesse du discours mélodique, harmonies à couper le souffle, orchestration sans cesse renouvelée dans l’utilisation des timbres de l'orchestre, bref une babylonienne architecture sonore érigée par un immense compositeur !!
Very Impressive work! Especially writing piece at first part with only G tone. Various colors of instruments mixed very Balanced! Wish to listen this work as a live concert someday.
SangUn Kang 강상언 The score is available at Bärenreiter-Verlag (Germany), but maybe only as hire material... Let me know which reply you will get from Bärenreiter.

@@dieterammann4 Ohh! I would be really interested. I'm a 16 years old "composer" who aspires to become a professional composer in the (if possible) near future. I will look for that and see if there is any chance to have any schoolarship or something related for students. Thanks for the information!
Alejandro M. You‘re welcome. Always stay focused, eager for knowledge, a will to learn and work. And then, who knows- Maybe we will work together in the future. ;-))
@@dieterammann4 Yes, who knows! haha. I wish I could learn about composition with you. Your writing is almost "ravelian", in the sence of perfectionism at its finest. And having a privilegiated guidance like your one would be amazing. See you, in maybe, a couple of years? ;).
Alejandro M. I am a very slow composer, due to my scruples and high demands. I compose without predeterminated material, based on my intuition and a tentative approach. First I need an „aural vision“, only then I search the material and bring it into structures that are best suited to represent this vision in sound. It‘s not easy to compose like that, as one can’t force intuition, and so it can happen that I scetch out one bar twenty times or more. As a teacher, on the other hand, I can empathize well with the music of others and can give substantial assistance in finding their own way. All the best for the future.

It seems to me like such a fresh aesthetic. I think I understand what you mean by "neoclassical" though. A lot of new music today is just a collection of "new music" clichés, and this piece seems to avoid clichés and somehow also create a line of continuity from Stravinsky to Dutilleux, to... the future. In that sense, it corresponds with "classical" tropes, but it does it in a completely fresh, original, and innovative way. If that's what you mean by "neoclassical" than I agree. If you mean that music like this has ever existed before Dieter wrote it, then I completely disagree. This is one of the most original compositions I've heard in my life.
Unglaubliche Musik. Vom Komponisten in einem Interview bescheiden ein "Stück Musik" benannt, ist dies ein Stück genialster Zeitgeist.

neoclassical ...
