I guess I'm in the minority who loves Zoe's voice in this. It's so unique and adds something to what could otherwise be a pretty bland video.

Y'all talk about the voices, I'll sit here loving that added touch of the violin. Actually, all the other instruments are great, and kudos to whoever rearrange the piece for the cover.
Zoe has a very unique and beautiful voice. She and Sam complement each other very well.
The music flow and fill my ears, and it feels like I'm standing in a huge field that full of my childhood memories
i really liked the cover but I agree, it should only be with Sam. Zoe is really good, but her voice doesn't harmonize with Sam's. I feel like her voice would be better with a country song.

At first I wasn't sure I like Zoe's voice in this but when I gave it a chance I loved it! I think her voice is just so unique it took me a moment! I'm so glad I took a moment because I love it!

Obviously, not everyone agrees with me, but I absolutely love Zoe's voice in this! Her voice is so unique and beautiful! Hers is not a voice you hear that often.
I think Zoe has a beautiful and amazing voice but maybe this is not the perfect song for her. I'm she will find a song that fits her perfectly one day.
I had the same reaction as some ppl to Zoe's voice at first - it's a rougher voice than Sam usually pairs with - but after a third listen, I really started to like it! The contrast is really refreshing.

both their voices are amazing I love how unique Zoes is, and how soothing Sam Tsui's is. I also like the contrast between the two when they sing this song. But it would be cool if both of them also did a solo for it :)

I think their voices quite harmonize with each other's. Zoe's metallic voice and Sam's pure&clean voice are just fine.

In my honest opinion, I feel this song cover would have been better without Zoe. Her voice does not harmonize or compliment with Sam's. This song cover would be have been something i would tune in into because of my love of the song and Sam Tsui. However, as much as Zoe is a good singer, I feel she should not have done a collabaration for this song.

I loved this so much. Sam is my favourite singer on TH-cam and Peter Pan is one of my favourite stories, so this song was already magical. I loved Zoe in this, and the contrast between her voice and Sam's really makes you listen

Throughout my life, I've always had the urge to create stories, and even though this song and video are beautiful on their own, I personally find it difficult to connect emotionally when there's no story to relate to. Which is completely fine, I'm not speaking about this particular video, I just mean generally. Generally speaking, most covers don't need to tell a story, because the artist and many of their finds can feel the emotion in the song. But for whatever reason, I cannot; I've always needed a visual representation, some type of actual STORY to intertwine the beauty of the music and the characters in my plot.
That's why I'm thankful for amazing covers like these, so that one day I can use them to intensify a moment in a story. These moments are beautiful in books, and the music is clearly beautiful enough on its own, but when you merge the two into a film of some sort, you create something unforgettable.

She needs to open her mouth more and actually say the words. And not mumble the lip sync.
Like when her voice gets higher in the song, her reaction is just lousy like at 3:55 and 2:54 she should look like she's actually trying but instead she looks bored out of her mind.

They pre recorded that song in a studio where they actually sang it. She's barely opening her mouth, The notes she hits is impossible without face expression. Yes you can hit high notes w/o making "weird faces" but she is singing a song where you need to hit multiple different high notes in a few seconds. She looked fake while singing. Just look at Sam sing. That's what you're supposed to look like while singing. At least he tried to cover it up.

the original is also sung by a woman, so it doesn't really matter :D
The term "lost boy" is a reference to the lost boys of Peter Pan, characters who were all male. Whether or not a female wrote or sung the song originally, lyrically, it makes more sense for a male voice to perform it.
+Louis Riehm Well they were all male because in the book it explained that only boys were dumb enough to fall out of their cribs at night(not my words that is actually how the book explains it if I am remembering correctly) . I guess since a female did write and compose the song though it's not that big of a deal. Especially when you look at the history of Peter Pan and find that Peter himself is usually played by a female.
Not to argue the point, but the vast majority were boys/men who portrayed Peter Pan. Women have played the role on Broadway and other such live theatrical renditions simply because of their size and the, at the time, uncomfortableness of the harness on boys/men when "flying".
