You have to be careful cause roaches will travel with you, they'll squeeze in to your appliances, furniture and clothes, etc... wash everything and fumigate before moving in your new home

Lord, I had a spider and ant issue. No roaches..no thank you. I be like I the Mack Pest Patrol every 3 to 4 months. I don't pay rent for anything else other than a dog, cat, fish or something. No Maam. I don't lease apartments for that reason. A townhouse/row house or duplex is enough!!! I loved seeing you guys again. I was wandering where you were. Glad the family is managing through this mess.💞💓

Zara little smile is everything she’s so adorable makes me want another girl
When my three stair-stepper aged children were young, I prepped the whole week on late Sunday afternoon.
I bought the 7 days of the week holder that you hang in the closet. I would put a top, bottom, socks and underwear, and any accessories that go with them, in each slot/cubbie. Scarves, gloves, hair bows (I had all girls), and anything else that goes with it for that day.
Make their food for the whole week (when possible). If you can't, make each the night before.
Also, they each had their own hamper so I would do laundry when those would get full. That way I could see it and do each separately. This kept me from mixing their clothes together and made the put away easier.
Also, when trying to wake them, if they don't the first (and maybe a second) time, get a washcloth and wet it. Squeeze the water out and wipe their face. Make it cooler (but not ice cold). They will jump up and want to wash it with warm. After doing that a few times, they will learn to get up when you call them.
When I had to do their hair, I would put the bigger hair accessories in a small, plastic (with the lid) shoe bin, and in front of them, to play with it for distraction. This was PRE "carry technology in your pocket computer" days but I still do that this day for grandbaby and others.

When my daughter was little packing her bag and laying clothes out the night before always helped me with being on time for appointments and things and that way nothing was forgotten.

Yeah girl... it's the building. I've had a roach problem one of my many apartments in Louisiana. They come up through the kitchen sinks, drains in the bathrooms, air vents and electrical sockets... I've seen them come from ALLA DAT!!! Spraying helps but the activity never stops. I don't blame you for wanting to move.

In some counties in GA It’s illegal to feed stray cats. By feeding them you are assuming ownership and thereby are liable for what they do and you are expected to provide them shelter. Just FYI...sending loads of energy your way for another move.
Facts... a cat gave birth in our garage, of course we fed her and the kittens. When we tried to drop them off at a shelter they would not take them because we fed them... I was like wth??!! Luckily we found them a home.

My Grandmother told me that waterbugs (roaches) lay their eggs in rotten wood. It's interesting that you say the apt is old, and it makes sense that you are seeing so many because there is probably a lot of rotten wood along the window sill....doorjambs.....etc. The best thing is to move.
For Time management I set my alarm two hours prior to when I have to leave. Then, I set an alarm every 30 minutes and set goals. Like within the 1st 30 minutes teeth brushes, clothes on, hair comb. Next 30 minutes eat. Next 30 make sure we have everything, load the car, and driving. Etc
The first couple times I was still leaving late but over time I got better and eventually started beating the alarms increments.
I feel I on the hair combing. My husband and have 5 girls.
The twins are the only 2 at home now!
Our first 3 are 2 years apart. 29,27,25!
Our twins are 15.
All of us are natural now.
My youngest twin has never had a relaxer, her afro is curly, kinky.
I try to teach all of them to be thankful for every hair on their head!!

Here we use Creoline and or Lysol in liquid form to clean the house to keep them outta the house and yard! Like pour it down the drains, in the toilet etc. Mop the floors, etc
Girl, I moved from New Jersey (a large city) to North Carolina (a small town) 10 years ago and could not DEAL with the bugs! I hired me an exterminator and he comes every 3 months to make sure there are no ants, water bugs, etc. Also, make sure when you do move that you spray all your moving boxes with bug spray to make sure you don't bring no bugs into your new apartment!
Get the kids stuff ready the night before makes it easier

Living in an apartment is tough when/if you have neighbors with roaches you can be super clean but if your neighbors are nasty it's an uphill battle
Baby girl is so, so cute, way to precious. Just a few pointers from a mom of 3 + 3 bonus kids. Pre-pack as much as possible the night before. Pre-pack baby girl's bag, fix milk bottles the night before and keep in fridge, lay out clothes for babies the night before, use a timer - and play ready, set, go for your boys in the morning. Defiantly get away from them creatures, cause ain't nobody got time for that. Happy New Year.
Brown liner and gloss is my go to!! It’s simple and it goes with everything!! The further you live outside the Atlanta area the apartments are older. They will have some new stuff but if you’re looking for the more modern looking apartments they will be closer to the city and more expensive. And I absolutely HATE water bugs 🥴😖😖 They are ugly, big, they fly, they’re just a nuisance so I can definitely see it understand moving again. They’re definitely a hazard to your children. Girl my mama tells me I exaggerate when I see bugs. I told her the bugs don’t pay rent/mortgage so they can’t stay here. You are right about your babies being safe since Zara is crawling now. Praying everything turns out great when you move.

Wash your clothes and blankets then bag them up air tight. I used garage bags and tied them in a not. Take only clean clothes and blankets to the new place.. and a few basic essentials. Bomb your old place and then move the stuff out. That way you guys aren't breathing in chemicals and you can wash/wipe everything down once you bring them in your new place.
Get some roach outlet plug ins from home depot and gel from roach Amazon in the base boards. It works wonders.
It helps if I prep the night before. I pack lunch and pick out my son’s outfit. Just those two things helps my morning go a lot smoother 😄
Oh no, I don't do roaches and I've lived in the South my entire life! I can't blame you, I would struggle with that too, but you have kids so I agree with looking for a new place. Sucks about the costs and annoyance associated with moving though.

I learned my lesson when I lived in an apartment. Always fumigate before move in. Combat Max gel will kill them all! It's in Walmart, Lowes. It has reviews on youtube.

I live in Florida and the lizards....Lord Jesus!! I didn't sleep in my master bedroom for a year because I woke up and a lizard was on my pillow that was it for me... (I have 4 bedrooms so I had other rooms to sleep in). I didn't go back in there to sleep for 1 full year even after removing the furniture and deep cleaning it still took me a minute to go back in my room to sleep. I am terrified of lizards!!!!

Quick story.. be careful breaking your lease. some years ago I lived in an apt. My neighbors got into a fight and someone pulled a gun and was shooting. Next day I was like I'm gone. They said it was not a "direct threat" to me so if I leave I'll still be responsible for the rest of my lease. They filled it as an eviction and it's still on my credit and that keeps me from getting into any other place. For having an eviction. 😩
I live in Atlanta and This happened to me and i figured out they were in my fridge. I made the apt complex replace my fridge and my daddy came over with the spray he uses at their house and less and less would turn up dead and then i no longer had any. I also was on the third floor so i knew they weren't just coming from outside. Hit Home Depot or Lowes and get the concentrate bottle of Home Defense or get the small bottle of Hotshot that you mix yourself and SPRAY YOURSELF before moving in your new place. The apt complex shit be water tf down and never works. Good luck at your new place ❤.

Yeah, the little ones are horrible and very hard to get rid of. Like I read in the comments, try to either get rid of them before moving or... buy new stuff. They are hibernaters! They hide in electrical things. They like dark wet places. My husband works in pest control and even they say those are very hard to get rid of. That’s something we always look for before moving somewhere. Lol our very first apartment had an infestation and before we moved out of that place we got rid of just about everything! Lol

OMG Tierra I have been there!!!! We moved into a townhouse that was infested with mice! I was so upset, we moved after 3 weeks AND at the time my baby was only 2 months old so it was just hectic 🤦🏾♀️ Good luck with your next move you definitely did the right thing!
Hey Tierra, try using an aloe vera leaf as a moisturizer and styling gel for Zara. It will help with easy detangling and faster styling. I started with an aloe vera leaf when my 2 year old was about 11 months and it was such an ease to style her hair. Also I felt the same with my laundry. Try doing the boys loads on Tuesday mornings and you and Zara on Thursday mornings or whatever two days you choose. I found that to be easier than doing it all in one day, plus cooking and cleaning, personal care and being a BOSS Boo.

TJ, yes cats drink regular milk, give her water with enough milk, to look like milk. And she will drink it. Go to the dog pound and get a humane catcher, put food in it, and catch the cat, take to pound. They won't kill her, cause she's pregnant, but will be taken care of and so will her kittens. And will be spayed.

Hey T....just a suggestion, I live in New York and up here, a lot of the working mothers ( or stay at home mothers too) are starting to use laundry services.....there are laundromat that will wash, dry, and fold your clothes by the pound, for little of nothing ( cheap)......but it's 1 thing off the list that's done.....you really should look into it......In addition, I'm praying for you that God sends you a wonderful HELP MATE ( husband) for you and the kids.......💛

Tierra! You're such an inspiration. Girl, you literally run rings around those in your aggressive group. Honey,, with 3 Kids and all you have going on,, you keep it going so gracefully. Also,, I so feel you with the roach issue. I use to live in Atl and my apartment was semi-old but one day I saw a roach and was so passed because the truth is, if there's one, there's hundreds. Luckily it was at the end of my lease and I was about to move into my house. I hope this next apartment is much better for you. 🤗
