3:42 is where it's at for me. Such a great part. The world is in a shitstorm of trouble, chaos has broken loose, people are dying, and everyone is desperate to find a solution and save as many people as they can. It fits the overall theme of MW so well and I just have to give props to the artists.
No other cod will ever have this feeling, something completely new and fresh, the gameplay, the customization, the music, the broken 725 that ruled for the first few months, the mp5 and m4a1 combo, snake shot on the 357s, Jev torturing himself for Damascus, Warzone when it first came out, the weapon mechanics, so many memories. MW is for sure a top 5 cod.
Yeah the M4 and MP5 spam was pretty bad. Mixed with the Overkill-725 abuse it wasn't a great time in the beginning. I don't play Warzone so the Snakeshot Akimbo 357s didn't show up too much for me in multiplayer but overall I think MW2019 and Warzone were relatively well-balanced. Course they make mistakes like they do every year. I'm still not sure why they nerfed the MK9 Bruen into the dirt for Multiplayer when it was really only a problem for Warzone. - Brandon

I could sit in the lobby for 20 minutes editing classes no problem with this playing. Sometimes I'd just sit there for a few minutes and let this play in the background when I took a break in between games. Miss this theme... - Brandon
Hopefully Infinity Ward will explain it some day. I get the feeling they're going to change the menu music during every new event/season. I'm hoping they'll add an option to change menu themes in a future update. - Brandon

Activision had a good thing going and they completely dropped the ball. I still firmly believe they could've gotten away with announcing a rushed extra year of support for MW2019 full of originally cut or hastily put together content. I'm pretty sure we all would've understood why Cold War would be delayed since COVID lockdown was a valid excuse being thrown around at the time. Players still absolutely loved the game and content creators/streamers were still having a blast juggling MW2019 and Warzone. The only ones probably against 2 years of support are Kotick and his merry band of execs and the shareholders that had larger stakes in the company. I imagine pre-orders and Black Friday/Christmas sales do quite a bit to boost Q4 numbers and good numbers mean bonuses for execs and happy shareholders. It's always money over creativity and quality for Activision nowadays. Cold War was unpolished because the COVID lockdowns disrupted the last months of development and I don't even know what Vanguard is trying to be but it plays like a MW2019 reskin. It’s just Rooftops and Piccadilly Circus off the official soundtrack. I do miss pounding Mountain Dews and Doritos for the XP codes on em while listening to this tho, this game had a different vibe before S1 imo
Yeah after Season 1 things changed big time. We got Warzone which in my opinion pushed multiplayer, zombies. and any other extra mode to the backseat in terms of content. There was an obvious lack of content before Season 1 but for a little while we had that classic COD dynamic back with a really intriguing campaign to boot. - Brandon
Simpler times man. Simpler times. The fact Activision thinks it can charge players as much as $24 for blueprints, skins, and tracers without shame still makes me shake my head in disgust. Sure it's not loot boxes but even the Tier System is essentially negligible unless you spend $10 to make all 100 tiers of content unlockable. Otherwise you have to max out 2 Seasons of tiers to get the few hundred free COD Points that are unlockable so you don't have to spend 1000 COD points. - Brandon
The first COD game i returned to since OG BO1, grinded it so hard. I dont care what people say, this was the best COD in recent times. Actually made with love, and comitted to the mil-sim vibe as much as possible.
Same. We as a community had finally come back to the front of gaming. MW2019 and Warzone videos/streams were everywhere. I thought it was going to be the start of COD's third era but then Cold War came out and its integration with Warzone ruined the weapon balance, and yeah... It was sad to see it all collapse. - Brandon
Yeah it really be like that. Before the world went to hell and we were all essentially locked away for a year. There I was at work assuming it would just be another SARS situation like an idiot. How wrong I was. - Brandon
Indeed. Although to be honest with you I can't wait for 2020 to be over. No guarantee that 2021 will be any better but the more time that goes by the closer we hopefully get to solutions. - Brandon
I remember just sitting there for an hour listening to this while editing my class loadout. Fun fact during free multiplayer weekends i use to grind for the obsidian skin.
had some rough times late 2019 then this game came out and everything slowly got better. this song just brought back so many of those good times with the lads staying up late man i miss it.
Damn sorry to hear that. Hope you weathered through that first half of 2020 okay. This game was definitely a bright light in those dark times. Gaming, streaming, making videos, etc. it kind of felt like we as a community were all on the same page like in the BO2 days. - Brandon
2 years ago. It's sad for me really, I remembered when my dad bought this game for himself at launch and I watched him play it and I even got to play, I got the game on redbox and fell in love with it, then my dad bought me the operator edition and I proceeded to dump my life into this, more than 160 days, many people didn’t like this game, and I don’t like the way it is today, but there are so many memories I made with this game, my second favorite COD of all time, right behind MW3, RIP MW (2019), you were a good one for me
Damn now I'm sad for MW3. Keep playing this game while it's still good man. Who knows what the hackers and future updates are going to do this game. When the PS3 servers for MW3 were left unmaintained my disappointment was unreal. I would've played it a lot more in 2019 if I knew what was going to happen to that game. Basically impossible to find games now on PlayStation. - Brandon
It was awesome seeing all your friends squaded up and walking alongside you in the loading lobby for the first time. For the longest time it was just a bunch of names until WW2 had you all standing together in the background. This just bumped it up again. - Brandon
With Warzone pretty much taking over now I feel like we've lost an era. Clan Wars, 1v1's, etc. I'm hoping the community hasn't shifted to BR as much as I believe it has but Activision's for sure found its new cash cow. That could shift focus and resources away from Multiplayer, Zombies, etc. to Warzone or whatever BR replacement we might get in the future (like we saw with Blackout to Warzone) to keep players coming back for more content at the expense of meaningful content for the other modes. I sure hope I'm wrong. - Brandon
Definitely. Halo, Mass Effect, Witcher, etc. were arguably so immersive because of how the visuals, story, dialogue, and music all worked together. - Brandon
Nothing's going to beat listening to the shorter version of this menu theme for the first time when I booted up the Beta. It's been years since I was that excited for a new Call of Duty game. The BO3 beta was probably the last time I was anywhere near that level of excitement. - Brandon
I'm a bit biased towards BO1, MW3, and BO2 but in terms of community drive I don't think there had been so much unity since BO3. The numbers and the popularity were the icing on the cake, and it's a real damn shame this COD was left to collect dust with the rest. If any COD deserved years of support it was this one. - Brandon
Back before the pandemic too. Man if only we knew. I pretty we all would have spent our time more wisely if we knew how extreme the lockdowns would become. - Brandon
Shame Call of Duty's a yearly cycle. I can see Infinity Ward taking some more creative directions with the game after seeing what we got in Season 6. - Brandon

@@ByTheBayGameZ Thank god I am not the only one who comes back to this and also MW2 is coming out 2022
Yes*
Almost 10 seasons later, and this is still the best menu theme
Has it been 10 seasons? Damn time really does fly by. - Brandon
- Brandon
back before all the skins and blueprints, when your only expression was who you picked
They need to fix this game
Teacher:we are going to Iraq for the field trip
Girls:Ugh no it's almost so hot there
Me and the boys:
It'd be pretty awkward getting that permission slip signed. - Brandon
In the girls minds:OMG I'M GOING TO SWEAT LIKE A PIG
In the boys minds:(MW announcer) SEARCH AND DESTROY,PROTECT THE WEAPON CACHES GO
Poke Mon kid you made that meme format cringe
@@piersquare I mean you probably were thinking at 12, playing COD, about being a soldier too jackass
@@piersquare and also shut the fuck up. I doubt your a soldier.
I’m back, and this sound is just so good it makes me want to cry
This game gives me major quarantine vibes. All those late night warzone games :)
This video is almost becoming a time capsule reminding us of what was since, back sliding into what it is to day......see you guys next year i guess?
This game was amongst the best Multiplayer for CODs. I can't believe they dropped big time with MW2022.
I come back here from time to time… i miss this theme so much
Same. We as a community had finally come back to the front of gaming. MW2019 and Warzone videos/streams were everywhere. I thought it was going to be the start of COD's third era but then Cold War came out and its integration with Warzone ruined the weapon balance, and yeah... It was sad to see it all collapse. - Brandon
I consider this to be the Before-the-quarantine OST
Yeah it really be like that. Before the world went to hell and we were all essentially locked away for a year. There I was at work assuming it would just be another SARS situation like an idiot. How wrong I was. - Brandon
I'm blessed I was able to hear this and this is hands down the best season song. Season 1 and 2 music suck
Brings back those awesome Week 1 memories when we were all still hyped from the Beta. - Brandon
Oh how time flies by
Indeed. Although to be honest with you I can't wait for 2020 to be over. No guarantee that 2021 will be any better but the more time that goes by the closer we hopefully get to solutions. - Brandon
8:25 is my favorite
My favorite part too. It just sounds amazing. - Brandon
Its a really good part if u listen u can kinda hear Infinite Warfares theme
The best sound on MW
Same bro
Anyone know what the song is called?
first theme will always be best theme
Couldn't agree more. - Brandon
Back when we didn't have star wars laser tracers and clown suits running around in multiplayer matches.
This game was fun af during those Covid lockdowns lol
No season has even come close to this. Even the one that used tidbits from this one
100% agree. Season 3's theme kind of disappointed me for that very fact. They cut the best part which was the 2 minutes at the end. - Brandon
The goat game will never forget
0:03 just that little noise was the best part
Good times man. Other than the main menu this is the first thing I'd hear before I'd hop into some Ground War. - Brandon
I remember just sitting there for an hour listening to this while editing my class loadout. Fun fact during free multiplayer weekends i use to grind for the obsidian skin.
I miss u old lobby music
Same man. Hoping they bring it back before Modern Warfare's life cycle is over and before Infinity Ward largely moves onto their next game. - Brandon
Wow your still responding to comments, respect
Cold wars is cool to
Even after all the seasons bringing all the new themes, I can't forget this original.
Beta vibes!
They made the best call fusing the Alpha and Beta menu themes. - Brandon
This is by far the best iteration. The Season 1 and 2 themes dont quite hit 0’s levels of suspense and eeriness.
You nailed it. Precisely why I think the Beta/Season 0's menu theme fit Modern Warfare's atmosphere the best. - Brandon
had some rough times late 2019 then this game came out and everything slowly got better. this song just brought back so many of those good times with the lads staying up late man i miss it.
Damn sorry to hear that. Hope you weathered through that first half of 2020 okay. This game was definitely a bright light in those dark times. Gaming, streaming, making videos, etc. it kind of felt like we as a community were all on the same page like in the BO2 days. - Brandon
@@ByTheBayGameZ all good now man was abt 200 lbs now down to 167 feeling good doing great thanks mate🖤
I love that they brought this back in the new season
Sadly they cut out my favorite part at 3:40 but it's still great to have at least some of it back. - Brandon
BodaciousBrosGaming I mean I guess but still isn’t that good lol
They kinda did
I miss the Season 0 lobby theme.
Same. So many happy memories playing this game early on and just being wowed by the graphics, audio, and music. - Brandon
Never knew unwinnable Spec Ops would be nostalgic to me
2 years ago.
- Brandon
I remember when i first saw everyone on your team in the lobby walking along side each other , one of the most badass things in a game!
It was awesome seeing all your friends squaded up and walking alongside you in the loading lobby for the first time. For the longest time it was just a bunch of names until WW2 had you all standing together in the background. This just bumped it up again. - Brandon
I remember this no store, no battlepass just sniper shotguns and bigass maps
Kind of went the route of BO4's microtransactions didn't it? - Brandon
When I here a weird noise comes from down stairs at night. That's me going to see what it is
Always gotta check to make sure you ain't hearing things. - Brandon
Reminds me of staying up late playing search with the boys and inviting trash talkers to 1v1 in private matches
- Brandon
Man the good days I miss this lobby music
Good times man. The last time we had the classic trio of Campaign, Multiplayer, and Spec Ops/Zombies (if you don't count Blackout that is). - Brandon
0:47 feels like war drums.... Love this part.
The original always got me pumped to play a few matches. Sucks they removed it and never added it back. - Brandon
It looks like death is walking around. Don't know how to explain but this is what it makes me feel.
i already miss this music
Been missing this theme for months. To me this theme is Modern Warfare. - Brandon
Music really makes you see a game differently
Definitely. Halo, Mass Effect, Witcher, etc. were arguably so immersive because of how the visuals, story, dialogue, and music all worked together. - Brandon
They kept the music from the Beta! Thank god I know a lot of us were hoping for it and they did it. - Brandon
BodaciousBrosGaming sadly it’s gone F***
But guess what
Jimmy Hoffa they fucking pulled a cod ghost on us
IW: Season 1 go brrr
This Theme is already Nostalgic and the game's life cycle isn't even over yet. This is the theme we'll all come back to. See y'all in a *year* or *so*
Nothing's going to beat listening to the shorter version of this menu theme for the first time when I booted up the Beta. It's been years since I was that excited for a new Call of Duty game. The BO3 beta was probably the last time I was anywhere near that level of excitement. - Brandon
i know mwii is gonna hit as hard as this game did. the vibe of this game gives me shivers nowadays, best cod game since the original mw2
- Brandon
For anyone who’s wanting to listen to these on the soundtrack. The first song is called Rooftop. Second song Piccadilly Circus. Happy listening!
Thanks for leaving this comment! I know a few people were looking for these tracks in the Modern Warfare official soundtrack. - Brandon
I want to go back in these days. Good ol' days
Back before the pandemic too. Man if only we knew. I pretty we all would have spent our time more wisely if we knew how extreme the lockdowns would become. - Brandon
I miss this already. :(
Shame Call of Duty's a yearly cycle. I can see Infinity Ward taking some more creative directions with the game after seeing what we got in Season 6. - Brandon
@@ByTheBayGameZ I don't mind the creative parts, but it'd be nice to have a more realisctic element. Guess that's not the case anymore.
It’s got this ominous feeling to it as if something bad will happen.
A few moments like that in the campaign. I've noticed that the music in the campaigns tend to end up in multiplayer but in shorter/edited versions. So the vibe from the campaign sets the tone for multiplayer music. - Brandon
