Super helpful. For some reason, I wasn't getting the owners manual. I was but seeing it and your description through each explanation of what it did was huge! Thank you. I'm setting this up for theives that get on my property and try and steal my stuff!
@@JohnMack-o4p glad it was helpful! Hopefully you get the problem solved. Try and keep the camera out of eye level so the don't try and destroy it. It's better to keep it out of reach but that doesn't always give the best angle.
I recently purchased this exact trail cam. Thanks for the great tutorial. I'm getting familiar with the camera. I learned that the video captured is in AVI format which my Mac Quick Time Player cannot open. Will research on that next.
VLC is a great free video player that is our favorite for playing all formats. If you decide to download it just make sure it's from the official VLC page. Thank you for the kind words!
Not really. I also have lost an SD card in the woods and I almost dropped one in the stream when I was trying to get the card out. I bought the red case in this video at the 4:50 mark. th-cam.com/video/oY2m5I4lBYk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=hePTME2XYi2Fhzwk It doesn't help getting those tiny cards out of the slot without dropping them but it really helps with carrying them around without dropping them. And it cost less than an SD card. Here is our affiliate link to it on Amazon. amzn.to/4etPsn0 We have had our case for over a year and it is still in great shape. Thanks for watching!
@@cameronjohnson9662 here is a link to another video we did comparing 3 cameras. It doesn't have a lot of footage but the ones from this camera are labeled. th-cam.com/video/z2ndS9kxXew/w-d-xo.htmlsi=bkA_xuortMJlQ_Z9
When I tested it for 3 days close to the house it seemed to do as well as all the other cameras. It has been out in the woods now for almost 2 months and I have not checked it because it is a full days hike in and back to do my trail camera run for the route it's on. I am hoping to get out in the next 2 weeks to check it. Overall I would say we liked it on first impressions. But I will give a follow-up as soon as i can.
First is the side detectors do not cause extra false triggers. I always run mine, and rarely have false images, when I do my cameras without them has a comparable amount of false triggers. And I advise against trimming,it does more bad than good. It mainly spooks game. I agree sometimes you have to trim something, but if it's not causing an extreme amount of false triggers, leave it be. Your IR range(how much it lights up.the area) does not need to be on high all the time. In tighter areas it can really hurt you by saturating the pic/video with too much light. I run mine on med. And really can't tell much difference at longer ranges. Good Tip on the sd cards most folks miss. Mark each card to and exact camera, not just the same kind. You did a good job,I just stated what I meant wrongly. Good luck with your channel
If you have any questions post them and I will do my best to answer them

Love the video!!! Is there a special way to load and unload the sd cards? I've lost two in the woods so far

How do you rate the performance of that particular Trail Camera ?

How long does it record video without downloading?
It records it onto an SD card. You then remove the card and view it with SD card reader on your phone, tablet, or computer
I have put a 256 GB card in it and it worked fine. That will record for 6 months, depending on how many videos you get.
You have no ideas about some of these functions do you? Good video, but all info isnt accurate.
@@phflhs what isn't accurate? Please give time stamps

That’s just rude! If you know so much why don’t you make a video yourself? I thought this tutorial was excellent!
