I love that these videos live for us to find even years later. In the middle of an early spring cleaning binge, so am finding stashes of clothing tags and other bis and bobs. Taking a break to watch some of your videos for inspiration! 💚❤️💜💚
Lovely ephemera made from ordinary items that most would throw away. I’m one of the hoarders of clothing tags; I have an entire drawer full of them. Some of them are really beautiful naturally. TFS 🌺 Elizabeth
Thanks Elizabeth. It was lovely looking through my stash and its given me some ideas for themed projects later on in the year. Far too nice to throw away 💕
What a fun Sunday, Cinderella scraps and tags ended up looking gorgeous. All will most certainly go to the ball. The ideas the inspiration, pure joy. You make us see art in the discarded you help us turn junk into treasures. Great video thank as always👏👏👏👏❤❤❤❤
I think this is the greatest idea ever! I’m going to collect these kind of things and challenge my friend to do these with me at a craft meetup at the end of the month. Thank you for sharing.
I’ve been under the weather, so I’m a bit behind and just getting caught up watching your videos. I love how elegant your “Junk Journals” are, not really junky at all. And the way you put found objects together is very inspirational! Then your voice is absolutely mesmerizing. I’m from Texas, complete with accent, so I really enjoy accents that are a bit more refined. I guess I really am what they now call a “fan girl!”(though I am a few decades, or more than a few beyond girlhood)👵🏼🤩bless you again Nina, I’m going to have a look through my recycling.❣️🙏🏼
Nina these are gorgeous! I had to get after my hubby a couple weeks ago for throwing out tags. Lol, now he can see I am not the only one that sees them as art waiting to happen. Thanks Nina xxx
Beautiful tags... I have so many tags that I’ve saved now I can sit down and make beautiful emphemra to go in my journals!! Thanks for sharing. Just loved this tutorial 🤗😊
Now I have something small and expensive to make and mail to others who use ephemera and journal as well as for my own small projects. Thank you for showing me another way to bless someone else as well as increase my own paper ephemera and mixed media ephemera for journaling, card making, ans layering in mixed media. Perfect for my mixed media collage message boards.
I am so tickled to have seen this fabulous video! I, too, save (hoard) tags and packaging. Now I have your lovely inspiration to guide me, thanks so much!
I love to see that others do this too..I saved tags for years and everyone called me a hoarder of junk until they saw what i did with them lol..Thanks for sharing
"Not quite perfect"....i honestly think this is the joy of things we make. if we wanted perfect we would buy mass produced. i have that gold pen, i have it in silver too, ive probably had them 12 or 13 years? maybe more and they are still going strong!
So many beautiful pieces to add to your junk journal, I love how they turned out. I have limited myself to one shoe box of "recycle" papers, it was getting out of hand. :) Have a wonderful week Nina.
I love all of these. I save nice shaped or weighted clothing tags as well. I am chuckling to myself as I remember a time when you were so uncomfortable doing vintage! And....look at you now! The Vintage Queen. Your projects are all delightful. Thanks. -Marsha from Texas
Oh gosh Marsha, I remember those days too and I can’t seem to get enough of it now. I’ve received so many vintage pieces in happy that at the time I didn’t know what to do with, but I think the turning point was the tag made from the items Gareth sent me. Have a wonderful week 💕
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia If only mine were, as well! He made me move ALL of my art supplies out of the house...I've been paying for storage for 2 years now. It's extremely frustrating.
Oh, it's perfect, I collected a lot of packaging stuff, because this project is on my list for a long time! 😀 Love your results and watching the process!!! Thanks a lot! 👏🏻👍🏻😍
Thank you so much Nina, what a fantastic use of something we’d normally throw away, I don’t think 🤔 any of them as a favourite, I really really love 💕 them all. Stunning and gorgeous, and would, grace any journal....you have so many fantastic ideas 💡. xxx Mags
Oh Nina I could watch you do these projects all day they are all fab and would look lovely in any journal. Can’t wait to have a play today while hubby watches football lol. I’ll start with the teabags , haven’t got any tags or labels 🏷 but could make my own. Tfs xx
Oh, I must join your Facebook group. I've actually saved interesting clothing tags & packaging all my life! Have a drawer full, to this moment. 💘 Simply cannot throw a good one away!
Hi there! Oh THANK YOU for doing a tutorial on using these terrific little tags! I'm going thru a BIG , big move & I keep finding little stashes of these tags all over the house. I started to throw them out but then... I grabbed them out of the trash!! I've always WANTED to use them for paper crafting but just never did. NOW, I have a " legitimate " reason to use them, it's in vogue now! Silly me... 😆 And this is not hoarding, it's "collecting" materials for our art! Can't make art without materials to work with, right? And yes, we should probably try to put parameters, or limits, on how much we keep, but dang.... That's tough. Have fun with all of your treasures & thanks again for sharing! You're making so many people SO happy, Ciao!🌸🌼🌺
You make me look at everything I pick up in a whole new way!!!!! This is going to be interesting. Can’t wait to see what everyone does with this prompt.
These turned out fabulous! You have such a talent for putting just the right things together. Another way of getting the backs off stickers is to put tape on either side similar to the napkin layer technique
Thank you Nina, now I know why I have been hoarding tags...... I feel much better now, thought for a minute I was bonkers 😂😂😂😂 Love what you have done, very inspirational
I truly loved your ideas. Each item turned out so beautifully and they inspired me so much. Thank you for sharing your talents. Love from Arizona, U.S.A. Have a wonderful day. ❤
Woo hoo....all my shopping has paid off! I have a ton of clothing tags, and lots of inspiration now on how to alter them. Thanks Nina for your creativity, this was a fun video to watch.
I popped by to revisit this video as I have quite a few tags to do something with. As I always I came away with some great ideas. Thank you, Nina. Hugs, Shell
Just watched my first video by you, Nina. Oh My!!!! Loved all these ideas! I have saved 100's of tea bag envelopes (I'm a big tea drinker) but never thought to do exactly that! I am new to junk journaling and these ideas will be so fun to make! I haven't made the actual journal yet, but am working on ephemera. Thank you so much. Will look forward to your videos!!
LUV altering tags, odd packagings & envelopes too. Also like you Nina, I habitually add Treasure Gold or Inka Gold (colors too) - I think it's becoming my signature - lol. Also I recycle each year's Christmas cards into the following year's gift tags.
Love them! They are all beautiful! I save stuff like this also when I run across it. Just hang onto it so when ever I need it I have it to use. I have junk everywhere at the moment and trying to organize it so I know where it is when I need it. Thanks for sharing 😇💜👍🏻
Very nice indeed, i made a few altered tags some years ago with Roben-Marie Smith. The tea bags are a great idea as little journal pockets. I will be making some of these little beauties, thank you Nina for the inspiration.
Hi Nina another fab, inspiring video and a brilliant excuse to pay a visit to our local shopping village - strictly to look for interesting tags of course 😊

What i love about using tags and packaging is that the shape has already been cut for you and some tags have a rivet already affixed!
That’s what I love too. It’s usually really good quality card as well. What’s not to love 💕
Really fun ideas. I can't wait to start mine. Thank you for sharing!
