That TC with the reticule assist is bonkers. Also I like how they put you under pressure for money much more in this mod. Seems like in other playthroughs it was too easy to get space rich. Really liking this mod set, I'll have to try this out!
Nah this setup is still pretty easy to roll in money. I can be sitting at around 10 million C-Bills rather quickly but I also do not do Bara's constant salvage and nothing but salvage. I balance it out between taking cash or salvage or a mix of half and half depending on what I need more at the time.
@@xJamesLaughx i think bara's biggest problem is he does a whole heck of mechlab-ing and critical repairs in conflict zones. no amount of cbill farming could sustain that in a reasonable way lol
Truthfully, if you hold your pocket change for 20 million C-bills, it gets easier. Buy a couple mechs of choice and some nice weapons, then stack again. Before you know it you are @ 100mil C-bills...and it runs away from there. In my current game, over the past 4 weeks, at 4-8 hours per day, I got 340+ mil C-bills, over 100 mechs, 21 pilots ... most mechs are well armed and armored, have xl engines and other goodies. I even have some Clan mechs, best being the Vulture. Gamer addiction is best addiction!
Fyi Bara, you can train your pilots when in an industrial zone. Look to the right when you select them and you can see the 'training' button. You can beef up stats and levels.
Pretty sure he knew that.. i remember him doing it in the previous modded playthrough. By the look of it he hasn’t yet done it is because he still have a small number of pilots.
@@ivannovalery6504 You may be right but I don't ever recall seeing that myself. And tbf, it is better to do on slightly higher level pilots with decent starting stats to begin with.

Love your videos Baradul! I just wanted to mention, someone on your last video suggested changing the group from focus fire to fire at will. If you press F1 to select your entire lance and then F7, a different command window opens. Fire at will ups my lance's damage output and seems to make them overall more responsive for me so far (Though it's still hit or miss sometimes still). I switch between the two modes depending on the scenario and what mechs I'm using; you might wanna give it a try!
I hope you come back stronger than than ever before, please keep fighting against those hackers , because I've been watching your videos for a long time now you're one of the very best gamers out there!!!!!!!
I feel like the Atlas should reach out to every range. Keep it mixed up, I think. The Kobold would make a great Skirmish/AA platform with long range and short range combo missiles. It's nice to have an AI mech that moves faster than you...if you like large mechs. Good show today. I just got a Kintaro KTO-18 that has Ferro Lamellor armor (has the armor of a light assault mech) and an alpha of 119. Wish I could I d show it off, lol. I like running light and medium mechs that punch above their weight for fast tactical operations. Typically, I go into missions way below weight maximums.
Targeting reticle reminds me of the X-universe games. It was one of the targeting computer upgrades there as well. Definitely useful, especially because it cuts through the smoke and other graphics.
I build the same atlas, but with a full SRM missile load out, and then slapped a supercharger on the mech so I could close distance at 64 or so kph, helped the build out a fair bit. Also, while not all that impressive, the battlemaster can be used as an all-round training mech thats easy/cheap to fix for AI pilots leveling up. I lowered the engine a bit, kept the 6 med las, and PPC and added an ac5 to the right arm, and kept the missile mount on the shoulder.
I figured out a trick with the Atlas R S.. you have to sacrifice a few weapons and run endo internals, but you can put extra armor.. i got 2 atlas IIs to 600 ish armor, and got a atlas R S up to 1000 armor.. then my SLDF black knight has about 650 for some reason lol.. which firmly puts the armor into atlas territory somehow lol
Personally speaking, I love the smoke and clutter on screen. Makes it feel more...battle like. Also you clued me into a lot of the mods I use, so thanks for that. :D
Check to see if you can pick a location for the targeting computer to target. I seem to remember using the number pad for mech part locations when using a targeting computer.
I love the predictive targeting computer. So damn good. The thermal vision is the best vision format after regular. I don't like the standard night vision anymore now that I've got thermal :)
Drop the Ballistic and the lasers on the Atlas go 2 LRM 15s and the rest SRMS with plenty of cooling, use double bins whenever you can for ammo get more bang per tonnage. Like LRMs are 400 per ton but a double is 1000.
I can not wait until someone makes a Mechwarrior game in Unreal 5. I really do hope that they were successful enough to continue producing games. Love this one so much. Great videos btw, you have a great commentary!

By nature an Atlas is slow. So having short range weapons mounted, you're handicapping yourself with the time it would take to close distance to use them. I'd go mid-range to long so you can wreak havoc as soon as you drop. All that aside, beating the scrap out of mechs close up IS really fun.
And yes, TC (targeting computers which you're using right now) are worth it. BC (battle computers which require tonnage to install and a modular computer) are also worth it and I've noticed an increases in damage even on my AI pilots
You may want to consider switching from solid to cluster shot on the LBX/10 when facing those low profile tanks. Sometimes the drop angles are not favorable in partial cover which really increases the value of a shotgun approach against vehicles. As you have two LBX/10, chain fire really stands out when in cluster mode. Your solid shot aim is exceptional so it's hard to suggest you switch to cluster shot otherwise.
I run that Atlas AS7-A with 4 clan ASRM6's and 2 medium lasers.. at 81KPH.. rofl. I close quick and delete other mechs.. it's awesome.. I might change to regular clan SRM6's though because I can just strip enemy mechs of torso/arms and legs at will and the ASRM6's lock on and then hit center mast for the most part.
agree that the missile trails are a bit too much. i find distinct weapon FX mod missile trails a good deal better. you can even see the delayed rocket ignition, pretty neat, but that mod also changes some other weapon effects so it might not be ideal if you already have an established visual preference
Ever since you switched to the YAML setup I am better able to follow your videos. MercTech and the other mods are too visually cluttered and try too hard to be Battletech instead of Mechwarrior. YAML just tries its best to be like MWO, which is a good thing. As a player of both MWO and YAML your content is wonderful.
It was this mod series that inspired me to download the HellfireBrimstone missile trails mod, and while I *like* it, it's quickly becoming a detriment. This is great! Would you be able to share your graphics settings? I'm maxed on everything but your particle effects look WAY better and I'm not sure what settings I have that's stopping it from working correctly.
I recently picked up this game and started watching your series. I'm playing with your modlist as well. However, I'm playing campaign and I'm reputation 11 but I never see any of the cool items. I can't get my hands on xl engines or double heat sinks. Is there something I might be doing wrong?

Looks like the role changes didn't take as it said 'Cannot create work order" each time you attempted to change them. In regards to the Atlas, I've been running a full SRM build with an AC for backup that I call the Splatlas. Alpha strikes many light and medium mechs once in range and is safer than melee. Second Atlas is a D variant I salvaged with the Long Tom, Arrow 4 and dual medium lasers. It has to have support to keep from getting swarmed but that one murders things even quicker than the Splatlas does. I've gotten to the point of leaving it behind a lot of times because it removes all challenge to the missions.
I said this before, and I know this is pre recorded, but please utilize gyros. Giving the atlas the mobility gyro bumps him up into the mid 50 kph which isn't much but every little bit
And the predictive is what I run on HGN-732 b…to help make those long shots with the Gauss connect. I turned into super mech, had clan lamellar armor, composite structure, 3 clan Heavy medium lasers, clan Artemis LRM 10 & SRM 6, melee hands, as it gives arms more armor, a 360 w/clan xl, harjel in all but head, add on armor, clan probe & ECM, lol.
