Not really most anime used an Americanized accent typically, they use British grammar like the use of pardon and thy or thou ,my lady, lad and other term's that sound fancy but lacks the actual British accent (Scottish, Welsh and English). Basically Americans are trying to sound British by adding British sounding words .

German here. You're gonna laugh but a lot of germans despise german dubs. Maybe it's because you can be a lot more critical towards your own language but especially in the anime-community, i've seen people take a massive dump on german dubs, some of which are actually well done. German is a beautiful language with a rich history connected to it. It really warms my heart to see so many other countries praising our talent, i just wish germans would share your appreciation.

The German voices and the English translation don't match as much as they should. I wonder if that's because they are both being translated from Japanese.
It’s because of that and the fact, that it would be hard to made it lipsync. It would be unnatural to hear a Character speak without them moving their mouth or stop talking if they are clearly not finished. Synchronisation is a hard Job not only for the Actors, but for the Translators as well.

I definitely think the German dub makes the show funnier. I can't quite explain why. It's also nice to brush off my German, haven't really used it since 2007.
