*Used to supplement the up stairs when it gets hot outside this works very well and **Fastly.Cool** Also works good when the upstairs gets too hot in the Winter from the heater.*

Purchased: August 2023 - still works GREAT!I th-cam.com/users/postUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment. I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

I just wanted to say thank you. I had an issue with my heat pump for a while, I even paid to have someone tell me my unit needed to be replaced. It didn't sound right to me so I did my homework and watch quite a few of your videos and now it's running good as new.

Thank you so much for this video! My Rheem was installed without the c wire to the thermostat. After watching you video and taking a peek inside I found the brown wire. Had you not talked about the other wire to the outside unit it was already attached to, I would have stopped there and had to call someone. But since you covered it, I was able to connect the blue wire in the thermostat bunch to that and then the other side to the c terminal in my new ecobee thermostat. It works great. Can't thank you enough!

I really really appreciate you making this video it was absolutely exactly what I needed I used to have a battery operated thermostat so the common blue was not wired inside the handler, this video made it simple and now I got it going. Thank you so much

David, sir, you are the man and I actually find you a lil funny! I have an old Ruud unit and ordered a Honeywell Smart Stat. Well, I had to figure out the c-wire ordeal bc my old unit ran on 4 conductor. After pulling everything out I had the 5th blue wire tucked away (on both ends). After watching 3 of your vids and taking my time figuring out the wiring within the furnace, you got me connected and AC is blowing! Thanks my man!

Hey there. We bought an Insteon Thermostat (Home Automation) and the old thermo stat was 4 wire. This video made perfect since and gave us the missing pieces that the instructions just didn't cover. Thank you! Great job!

This solved my problem. I had a friend install 2 rheem systems. Air handler and heat pump. Ac worked perfect this past summer. But now I turned the heat on and the blower motor was on 24/7. They had wired the white/blue and white/black separately. So after watching this I connected the white/blue with the whit/black with the wire from thermostat and presto. Works like it should now. Thanks!

Thanks for the video. On cooling only you only need. R Y and G from the thermostat correct ? Then Y and C. To the condenser ? You would not need the common from the thermostat . correct . thanks

David - we have a Rheem RBHA--17J11SUDA. And I noticed that the white/blue and white black are capped together in the air handler and then they used 2 separate wires that goes to the Thermostate and plugged into the Aux/E. Is this normal?

most of the time the heat pump is w (heat from the heat pump) and w2 is heat elements that kick in when the heat pump cant keep up or when you switch it to emergency heat
