This recipe IS a real winner, I've made it four times as of tonight. I like to double the recipe and split it into seven portions to last two weeks, since my lunch schedule varies. I also replace the poblano peppers with jalapeños (which is 4 jalapeños since I'm doubling the recipe) which gives a nice Asian level spice. Sprouts are kept in the oven 16 minutes. Takes about 1.5 hours for me since I'm cutting two pounds of brussels sprouts.

For microwaving, you can also microwave the rice first with a hole in the center (helps with the heat dispersion) then take it out and heat up the beef with the rice after. That way your rice wont be half warm while your beef is smoking hot. It also prevents your veggies from becoming absolute mush from overheating them.

Lol I used to think that too. It takes a bit of effort but you can get them to an 8. Air-fryer is spot on. Spray them with a cooking oil (50/50 extra virgin olive oil + water in a spray bottle works great, you want a flavorful oil), salt, white pepper, nutmeg and ground koriander (seeds). When properly roasted, toss in a nice coat of agave, serve with a dash of roasted paprika and roasted walnuts.

With the small off chance that you haven't tried them, I personally love ikea's 365+ 34oz glass containers, I find they are perfect for me when I meal prep. I prefer the plastic lids with removable gasket with "snap-ons"(dunno what they're called) on the side, really like how securely they sit on there, the bamboo lids are trash on the other hand. But yeah, storing it in plastic containers while cold and transferring to a plate before heating is a good enough solution in the meanwhile, until you finally find those perfect glass containers, hope they show up for you one day.

I really loved the deconstructed Big Mac so I’m definitely going to love this! Thanks for the great video, I’ve been making a shawarma greek yogurt marinade chicken, rice, and a low cal garlic lemon aioli with garlic lemon broccoli it’s something worth checking out and prep is relatively easy if you marinate the chicken 1 hour before

@@wishbot132 yeah for sure, 1 tsp each of cumin, coriander, sumac, all spice, turmeric, pepper, 1 tbsp of salt, 1 cup of plain Greek yogurt, 5 garlic minced, 1 lemon squeezed, 1/3 cup olive oil, mix all together. 4 chicken breast marinaded at least 6 hours. Cook in cast iron skillet in the oven 450 for 20 minutes or a baking sheet if you don’t have one
Put on the broiler for 5 minutes to give it a good crust if you desire
For the sauce I mix 5 garlic minced, 1 lemon squeezed, 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt, 1/3 cup mayo, salt and pepper to taste.
I also do either rice or potatoes

Bro you have to try maple(i use lakanto) siracha sprouts... so good.
i toss them lightly with olive oil, hotsauce, pepper+salt, garlic/onion powder, spread them over parchment in a baking sheet, cook at 450F until just barely charred

I made this today and it's a big hit! I used ground venison, and only one poblano pepper. My 7 year old LOVES it! I think next time I will stir in the sauce BEFORE adding the roasted brussels sprouts in. It kinda seems like the sprouts absorbed a lot of the sauce and got a little soggy. I would rather the meat took more of the sauce. That's just a minor thing. But it's definitely a winner!

Regarding glass storage, I've also noticed that over time they don't stack very well, and will create micro shards of glass due to chipping from stacking in cupboards :/

I added 1 tablespoon of fish sauce to add a more beefy flavor to it, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce for more of an umami boost (wouldn’t say it’s as necessary because it’s such a strong flavor, will substitute for another tablespoon of fish sauce next time) and then salt to taste. Really good recipe btw, much appreciated for the work you put into it

Love the dish, if your still looking for glass meal-prep containers, I use the IKEA 365+ "rectangle glass food container (34oz)" with plastic air-lock lid (glass is pretty thick/heavy, oven safe, I take the plastic lid off when microwaving, however, you can choose from a variety of lids like silicon, bamboo, etc, just not all of them lock like the plastic does). They are only 6$ CAD ea (~4.50$ USD), and look very similar to the black 28oz containers you are using :). TBH any glass Tupperware set will usually have the size/shape your looking for, but, IKEA is nice that it lets you buy everything individually if you wish.

Do one on mealprepped chicken paprikash! Our recipe is to use cubed chicken tenders or breast, season and fry them up then add sauce ingredients, mainly chicken stock grated carrot diced onion tablespoon of tomato paste and loads of hungarian sweet paprika. Let simmer for half an hour. Once that is done add an equal or greater amount of white rice and mix. I like to add some habanero tabasco to give it a kick. Packs up easy, heats up with no fuss, amazing flavor and no unnecessary fats or carbs! Maybe I’d add some green onions as a garnish too. Perfect mealprep lunch.

Oh Im trying this for sure.
Ill personally be substituting the franks for about 1, maybe 1.5 teaspoons of tabasco hot sauce. Just a personal preference in the kind of spicy I like.
The vinegary bitterness of tabasco compliments honey quite nicely but is easy to over do.
