    do it!
by far his best meal prep out so far. been making it weekly for a couple months now and haven’t gotten sick of it. You can sub the brussels for broccoli or ground beef to ground turkey. Doesn’t matter. Tastes great all the way around!

  • @SleepycoasterOrigamiUnicorn

This recipe IS a real winner, I've made it four times as of tonight. I like to double the recipe and split it into seven portions to last two weeks, since my lunch schedule varies. I also replace the poblano peppers with jalapeños (which is 4 jalapeños since I'm doubling the recipe) which gives a nice Asian level spice. Sprouts are kept in the oven 16 minutes. Takes about 1.5 hours for me since I'm cutting two pounds of brussels sprouts.

  • @Flippokid

    "I mean they're Brussel Sprouts, at best they're a 3 out of 10 anyway."
Lol I used to think that too. It takes a bit of effort but you can get them to an 8. Air-fryer is spot on. Spray them with a cooking oil (50/50 extra virgin olive oil + water in a spray bottle works great, you want a flavorful oil), salt, white pepper, nutmeg and ground koriander (seeds). When properly roasted, toss in a nice coat of agave, serve with a dash of roasted paprika and roasted walnuts.

For microwaving, you can also microwave the rice first with a hole in the center (helps with the heat dispersion) then take it out and heat up the beef with the rice after. That way your rice wont be half warm while your beef is smoking hot. It also prevents your veggies from becoming absolute mush from overheating them.

With the small off chance that you haven't tried them, I personally love ikea's 365+ 34oz glass containers, I find they are perfect for me when I meal prep. I prefer the plastic lids with removable gasket with "snap-ons"(dunno what they're called) on the side, really like how securely they sit on there, the bamboo lids are trash on the other hand. But yeah, storing it in plastic containers while cold and transferring to a plate before heating is a good enough solution in the meanwhile, until you finally find those perfect glass containers, hope they show up for you one day.

@@wishbot132 yeah for sure, 1 tsp each of cumin, coriander, sumac, all spice, turmeric, pepper, 1 tbsp of salt, 1 cup of plain Greek yogurt, 5 garlic minced, 1 lemon squeezed, 1/3 cup olive oil, mix all together. 4 chicken breast marinaded at least 6 hours. Cook in cast iron skillet in the oven 450 for 20 minutes or a baking sheet if you don’t have one
Put on the broiler for 5 minutes to give it a good crust if you desire
For the sauce I mix 5 garlic minced, 1 lemon squeezed, 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt, 1/3 cup mayo, salt and pepper to taste.
I also do either rice or potatoes

I made this. I love it.. but am I the only one who was confused with the taste. Chinese, Indian, or Mexican spice blends I love. This was something new. I used franks, honey, and seasoned rice vinegar. Such a strange combination but it works. A new flavor I never thought of. Good stuff man.

Dude you’re a legend, I’m so grateful I found your channel!! I love to cook and am happy spending a couple hours making something nice when I have the time, but I’m trying to prioritize more time in the gym and less time cooking. I don’t want to sacrifice 95% of the flavor of a dish like many meal prep folks tend to do, so seeing your approach makes me feel like I can actually stick with it!! Thank you!

Swapped out the Brussels sprouts for diced bite sized potatoes (I’m bulking so looking for some easy added calories), and it’s absolutely incredible. The sauce is perfect too. I think this just became my #1 favorite meal.

I left out the red chilli flakes as I figured the hot sauce would give all the heat I needed, and I was right. Just enough to hang out on your tongue a bit, but not overwhelm.
    Very good!

"I mean they're brussel sprouts. At their best they are 3/10 anyway."
Bro you have to try maple(i use lakanto) siracha sprouts... so good.
i toss them lightly with olive oil, hotsauce, pepper+salt, garlic/onion powder, spread them over parchment in a baking sheet, cook at 450F until just barely charred

This was surprisingly bland and not at all spicy like I expected. But man, it reheats very well, everything stays super moist and fresh tasting thanks to the sauce and excess ground beef fat, and its just an enjoyable meal regardless. I've used random Flat Iron Pepper flakes instead, and random hotsauces, and it takes it to another level. Changing the flakes and hot sauce weekly keeps the recipe from getting boring as well. Don't think I'll be retiring this one any year soon.
