    Thank you from Australia. You spoke so clearly, examples really reinforced the learning.

    The going question in the bridge circles I play is, ‘do you announce the word transfer when you bid?’ Or, if you don’t use Stayman, 2♣️, then a suit bid is assumed to be transfer.
    This vid stated after the 2♥️ bid. Thanks.

    on last hand 17:50 No-trump would be terrible on a spade lead which is most likely to happen! How to avoid this kind of situation, Any suggestion??

    Point counts have changed radically, with NV third-hand 11 pt opening bids and 1NT = 15-16 pts. A balanced hand is no longer mandatory-though I find that silly.

    These are great! So much better than trying to learn from a book. As a professional educator, I complement you on this teaching!
    What program are you using to demonstrate the cards?

    Is there a 2NT response after transfer? It seems you always either go to game or pass. Is there a 2NT invitation bid?

    • @bridgelesson
      @bridgelesson  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question Nicholas. Yes 2NT after a transfer would show invitational values with exactly 5 of the major. 3 of the Major would show 6 cards and invitational values. Thanks.

    How weak a hand should be? I mean, you can transfer even with 0 point, but up to .... ? 7? or unlimited? At minute 3:37 the hand shows 12 points and I was expecting you to say that the transfer was not advisable.

    Key words in the audio drop to very low volume. Must listen 2 or 3 times to get them.

    Liked this video but I came with the question: "Can I Jacoby transfer from a passed hand?"
    Unfortunately the video gives no answer. I have to assume the answer is yes.

    • @bridgelesson
      @bridgelesson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes for sure. Jacoby transfers can be (and should be) used even with no points and by passed hands.

      Not on a spade lead, but that doesn’t mean we should be anywhere else. Sometimes you’re not going to make your contract, but if you bid normally and play duplicate bridge, neither will anyone else.
