Much cleaner and more efficient than coal fired.... But still use fossil fuels unfortunately... I have not seen any country use 100 percent renewable energy at the moment... Even Tasmania had to use an old gas powered power plant because of unexpected conditions. .

the steam comes from gas turbine that can use petrol, deisel, or natural gas. so yes bcs its not from a renewable source, though its very efficient
