+Quincey Riley. "Canon" in terms of comic books is "what has actually happened". Non-canon are basically "what if" storylines. Usually non-canon sources are set in an alternative universe so that what happens to the heroes in the story didn't happen to the version of the hero that appears in the main title, i.e "Batman", "Superman", "JLA". The multiverse concept confuses things because travel between the main (canon) universe and the alternative (non-canon) universe means that the non-canon storys kind of become canon, but only to the alternative version of the characters. Taking the classic who wins in comics Batman vs Superman debate as an example, the use of Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns (non-canon) as evidence that Batman can beat Superman is not (technically) allowed because that story happened to alternative versions of Batman and Superman not THE Batman and THE Superman. This guy keeps saying "alternate reality" Superman and it throws ppl off it's completely wrong..... Superman Reborn is about Superman getting all of his memories back and remembering his true-self and his younger (New52) days. Go read action Comics vol.4, the one that came out after Superman Reborn. It explains it all even more so and prob even better than Superman Reborn did. It even shows him IN his New52 suit in his younger days while Jon is being born. There wasn't ever "2 diff supermen" , reality was just fractured and time was fucked up, Which like I said is what Superman Reborn was about. Fixing that on Supermans part anyway, Doomsday clock will be about fixing ALL of it and returning the universe back to its normal state and how everything was before the New52 and before flashpoint..... all the New52 was is the DC universe after flashpoint , after reality was fractured. most of us like batman because of all his losses and his downs in life which he uses as his strengths, this helps us in connecting with him more and for me same goes with diana and clark and this story shows that now DC is trying to bring more depth in each character which we all will be happy to see in movies as well which was very nicley showed in wonder woman
