Only pike I ever caught were at Telequana Lake in Alaska. I caught so many in 1 day it was ridiculous. I did hook a pike at the Oxbow in Northampton once but is was over as soon as it begun since I didn't have a wire leader. 🦈
I remember catching pike as a kid by just tying some mini to the back of a canoe with a bare hook and just paddling around the lake. They’ll bite anything.
I'm with you, couldnt imagine paying someone to be that directive while I fish. Then again I find Chris to have some googan tendencies. Despite all his time on a fly rod, it always looks like his first time.
The Housy Rivals any River and has Every Northeastern Freshwater game fish. The midge hatches are Ridiculous. 20" Browns are not uncommon. From Trout Spey to Streamer fishing for Trophy Pike!
In the state of NJ, Pike are stocked in the Passic river. For me that is closer than western mass. "The Great Lakes of NYC"
Great video guys.
I just met Dan on Facebook and I'm really hoping some of that passion he has rubs off on me! That really looks like an amazing trip!!
If there's one fish I could only fish for the rest of my life it would definitely be the good Ol Pike 👍🏻
