    • @user-cu8jz2lt9d
      @user-cu8jz2lt9d 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@karlschmied6218 sadguru already defined a term called awareness and that is directly depends on the tool called Brain as that is the point all 5 interface (senses - interfacing with rest of world) gets converted to intelligence. That is the coordinating point from those information flow into the mind.
      The yogic understanding goes this way. There are 5 karma indriyas = physical manifestation of 5 senses they are eyes, ears, nose, tounge, and skin. Then there are 5 gnana indriyas = the software portion of those five physical manifestation. The reason one feels the hand even after amputation is the gnana indriyas associated with the person which is soft portion has not got impacted.
      In this the mind, intelligence and ego also are considered as Indriyas in other words they are also interfacing the consciousness with the rest of the world.
      That is why sadguru was repeatedly saying consciousness is that portion called "chith" which is that not touched by any portion of the physical body.
      The physical body at higher level consist of 24 layers and 25th layer is the consciousness.
      The 24 layers are further divided to multiple sub components.

    Both speakers were very good and competent in their respective fields. Sadhguru tried to convince through a spiritual approach, while Dr. Pinker through a scientific approach, how beautiful it is for these two perspectives to be united and to find a common ground so that new wisdom can be born, and doesn't the light switch on occur at the meeting point of two different poles ?

Sadhguru has said the same thing more than once in this conversation but.. no offence or criticism... The other person refused to look beyond their own conclusions. That is ignorance. Not taking sides but if you looked deeper then Sadhguru never ignored what the other party or any party said. He simply said everything from his experience not from books or knowledge. Absolutely brilliant conversation for the west and east to show the developments in yogic sciences and ‘western’ science that we are all taught. I hope this inspires more people, especially the youth to explore how to bridge the dichotomy of the 2 sciences and delve more into yogic sciences to bring it to the forefront.

    Great conversation between knowing the outer world and the inner world. There is a balance when converging both into one. Seeing the world from the eye of the brain and knowing the earth from the eye of the spirit is a process. I believe Sadhguru helps bring awareness to our inner knowledge. The miracle is that the Earth holds all elements we humans need and science wants to extract them while in truth we should attract it. We can reach an understanding of this process through meditation.

    If a dentist gives me an anesthetic to numb a tooth, I am still conscious, I am conscious of the lack of pain. A lack of pain does not equate to a lack of consciousness, it equates to a different experience for consciousness to experience. It alters the way consciousness interprets it's surroundings and experiences through the medium of the brain. The brain is like the universal translator that allows consciousness to experience it's existence, it is not the source of consciousness, nor does putting electrodes on someones synapses prove that consciousness is formed in the brain, it merely alters the experience that consciousness has, like switching the translation device to a different language.
