If they can fix whats going on with the trains rn and keep it running efficiently and longer than Dragster was ever open for I think they will do well. It’s already shown to be more reliable than TTD in just a week of operation with thousands of people riding it, its closed because the trains need a closer look
I am confused by what you mean. I mean, Top Thrill Dragster (the original) was manufactured by Intamin. It was a single launch. But now this upgrade is from a different manufacturer. You didn't know this? Or are you trolling? And how the hell you have 6 likes? I am very confused. They didn't want to use a single launch anymore hence why it closed in the first place.
@@Houtarou_Hyouka_Unforgiven Right, and that's exactly what the original used to be like which was manufactured by Intamin. They didn't want to use a single launch system anymore hence why they upgraded to Top Thrill 2.
@@Houtarou_Hyouka_Unforgiven Correct. They decided to use triple launch because it's safer and more reliable. They closed the original (single launch by Intamin) because it broke down way too many times and it almost killed somebody. Poor lady might have brain damage for rest of her life. So, that's why I am not understanding your original comment or what you're trying to say.
Zamperla will be fine even if this fails, they're still one of the biggest kiddie and flat ride manufacturers out there. But i do feel like Cedar fair got a deal of a lifetime to ever let them do this.
Reliability and throughput will make or break this ride for them. The massive increase to ride cycle time, combined with renewed popularity is going to make the line CRAWL. And since CP decided paid lockers and you cant have your phone in line... I feel that this is going to be a one and done for MANY guests.
Its down already…She’s probably already doing things zampearla didn’t see coming. Probably chewing through wheels super fast because shes doing well over 100mph something the trains may have not been designed for at first
The ride is awesome TT2 is just awesome... The reverse launch is just awesome.. on a side note the seats on the train sit higher so the center of gravity is higher it snaps though the twists and you are basically out of your seat going over the top hat
I think an s&s sansei air launch remake of dragster could have been cool, especially since they need a rep boost after do dodonpa. And the launch would've been forceful still and more reliable then the old hydraulic (not that air launches are reliable, but still more reliable than the intamin hydraulic)
@@SingleRiderReak I will go ahead and submit early that yeah it will and unlike top thrill dragster which was always closed because the hydraulic launch kept breaking down, this version of the ride may actually have the ability to pay itself off. A lot of people that live in Ohio are bitching about this change because for you guys it's just the one or two hour drive to get to the park if it's broke down you just come back another day. For the rest, myself included having to go all the way from California or Georgia which are the two states where I live, to get up there to the park multiple times to find the ride broken down, was nothing but infuriating. 8 times in 20 years I got to visit the park, and I only rode it once, because every other trip, the ride was broke down. If this new system at least works 10% more than what the original did then it was worth it.
@@FAFO4wisdom These are pretty much my same exact thoughts. With the shift from having a lot of complicated parts to having much more simplified pieces, there is just about a guaranteed increase in reliability, even with a prototype status. For the ride experience, like I’ve mentioned in the “Optimism & Excitements” bit of this video, I’m excited for the new forms of enjoyment, especially when it comes to Launches 2 & 3, the spike, and the return of the top hat. Deep down, I hope this is a big success for both the park and the manufacturer.
@@FAFO4wisdomYeah people bitching that they took away the most problematic part of the ride make my blood boil like shut the hell up. I was lucky that I got to ride it as many times I did but it gets annoying you get to a point we’re you have steal rides on it. I never got a front row ride because I was afraid it was going to break down before I could ride it because of the wait. Then I went to great adventure for Ka and that breaks down just as much then these people got the nerve to say Intimin should have been selected to do the redo like we didn’t see almost 20 years of the ride fucking up every day so let’s use the same manufacturer😂. If it was Intamin, a single launch is enough? like redforce with single launch 0-180km/h in 5sec

I mean
a single LSM launch

@@sethman410 isn't the new version manufactured by Zamperla

It all comes down to LSM alignment - I think the 'slower' launches are a result of wider fin guides in the magnets on the train.

Now that it's open, what do you think?
Intamin was too busy with qiddiya
other parks wanting to use the ride type is one thing, but then if tt2 is successful, cedar fair will use zamperla more
ive heard its good and the spike has insane airtime
The trains are extremely comfortable
It hasn't even been open for a month and it's already down for maintenance.
hadnt even been 10 days
This ride is already down and going to be down for a long time.
Going well so far... 🤣
zamperla is cooked it rattles hard
Good. Only adds to the thrill of the high speeds, much like how that added to the OG Dragster.
LOL is is getting a massive amount of rave reviews. Zamperla looks to have hit big on this one.
Lucky
It must succeed
You're a few months late and a lot of dollars short. Testing has already been done so we know it works.
True, but the next steps are if it can efficiently run properly in the long run.
