"We're here to leave a bruise or a mark, and you're not leaving until you get hit with it, and that's just the way it is."
This is why I want Josh Homme as my personal life coach.
Iggy Pop and Josh Homme. The true renegade and the musician's musician. We are all so lucky that these two found each other. Both are now getting the dues and accolades they have both long ago earned.
Homme is a douche.
@@Imnottapinata doesn't really matter though.
@@SavageHenry777 oh yeah
Helders is a G on the drums, Homme is a G on the guitar, Fertita is a G on everything, Iggy is a G full stop

Word.
Especially live when these guys were smashing out his classics library! Holy hired guns! Queens is my favourite band so I'm only half-biased.
Yes, sir...!😁👍
My band supported Iggy on Cold Metal tour in uk 88 I think. He was bloody lovely. Saw him play Albert Hall, was one of the best gigs ever.
This is the most authentic interview I’ve ever seen. They all have so much mutual respect for each other and it shows in this interview. It’s so special that Dean was part of the band, along with the others, he’s such a great person and talented musician.
this is so beautiful and dare i say, ‘poetic’; iggy being a hero and influence for josh. iggy being secure, self-aware, and humble enough to ask josh to help him improve. so awesome.
Saw them on Jools Holland and was BLOWN AWAY by Iggy...so raw and real as ever.....but I wasn't aware of the story behind "his band".....now it makes more sense to me. Tonight I turned on the TV and Austin City Limits came on ....Iggy was singing Break Into Your Heart....and I stopped everything and listened. I love this band because I can FEEL them. And then I heard a snippet of this interview. It's worth a listen (especially the first few minutes) ....I'm just glad I experienced it the way I did...on my own....Next Level Iggy! Rock On! Gardenia...............
Where are you?
Black goddess in a shabby raincoat
Where are you tonight?
Rebecca Birmingham Montgomery totaly agree with you . I haven't played Iggy stuff for years and just came across Lust for Life on Later with Jules on YT . Firstly i must say, i was blown away by Iggy's energy . Then started to realise the band were so good it just added to it so much . I realised it was Matt from the Monkeys but hadn't really listened to the Queens before , blown away completely . I've probably played that Jules Holland one over 100 times , its awesome .
The most amazing thing about him is that he’s always been humble. I mean he is a legend but he respects everyone: musicians, fans, journalists. He always looks so grateful in what he does. I’ve seen him perform once and it was amazing. He is more badass at 71 than the younger ones. I think he’ll perform until the day he dies.
Iggy dont worry about a thing you are a legend already 🙌
legends never stop walking ;)
Yeah but there's this tense hypocrit bive.... right?
Nick Riviera from who?
Iggy you've been the best for a long time now, and I'm grateful. Thank you for everything.
Iggy is simply the best! He, The Stooges, and their/his music hit me a long time ago, and made an indelible mark on my soul, and in my DNA, that I am forever grateful for. I just found out that I was at the longest gig he ever played in Hollywood AND he pulled me onstage to dance with him that night. Post Pop Depression ROCKS! Iggy LOVE FOREVER!
The album and Albert Hall concert are pure gold. I cannot fault them in any way. Fantastic.
I love how Josh goes out of his way to include the other guys. All living legends.
Post pop depression is epic, has to be the best collaboration between two legends Iggy & Josh, ever.
Iggy and Josh! Man what a duo. They both seem to be great and loyal friends once they become your friends. They are dynamite on stage.
In every interview ive seen of josh he always has great/funny/unique insighful answers
Iggy is a legend. I saw this show last spring and it melted my brain.
Iggy upped his game, up yours !
hiyyyooo!
How very fortunate to be able to experience such creative works from musicians of different eras. Thank you.
Iggy has always been my spirit animal
This collaboration was epic! I hope we can see at least one more album!
Jane's Addiction opened up, Iggy's band blew them away. Houston 1989.
Brixton Academy, London. 1993 ('Am. Ceaser') Don't remember the opener. Thought Iggy would be crushed in the stage diving, I almost was crushed to death. Best damn concert of my life!
This seems like these guys are just hangin out in the back yard by the grill having a few cold ones...and I'm there. So humble and so very sweet on each other and what they are accomplishing.
Great album!! Iggy is the best!!
Iggy... I respect, admire and love you. I'm one of many who will happily and gratefully jump into that rabbit hole. You're an amazing artist and human being. Words can't express the mark you made. Don't ever stop making and creating.
The Idiot is one of my all time favorite albums.
Josh's laugh in the background at 8:09 when Iggy says " communicate to people ,baby!"..lol
Iggy is the original rock and roll rebel. To the point were he was starving to death in the early years. He never gave up or let the current state of music influence his art. Good on him!
I think I have never heard Dean talk. Fine by me, you quite genius.
The coolest interview ever, specially for Josh ! And guys, everyone must admit this is the best desert rock album of the decade at least!
It's wild and awesome to have people that speak so genuinely about the creative process, down to earth and authentic af!
What a fucking awesome bromance, Iggy is such a smooth geezer
iggy seems so much like an awesome company to work for and with
Josh and iggy pop , absolutely the best
Iggy is like a good wine.... he is better and better with age. His voice became true gem.
They are a cute couple.
How can you not smile while watching this? IGGY... You're the Best!
Josh Homme is so cool and articulate.
The very last paragraph by Josh. I am going to hold onto that every day while I record our first album. RIP
The album is definitely an acquired taste and I say this as an enormous fan of both. That said, it's true, it's a once in a lifer and that makes it magic in its own way.
What a fucking wise man iggy is
Its nice to see a rock star that doesnot fade after his 50s damn fuck 50s this man is in his 70s and still sharper than most youngsters long live and peace iggy
Iggy's eyes..... riveting...
When Post Pop came out I didn't believe that Iggy could ever pull off something that great again - but he did again in 2023!!!
So much talent like out of this world
JOSH YOU GENIOUS
I allways loved Jimmy's great songs and madman dance delivery, and josh is absolutly guitar genius guitar virtuoso is a match made in punk and roll heaven.
But when jim suggested that josh throw his guitar into the toothpick processessing machine, josh hesitated, untill jim reasured that he can use it in interviews as an oral fixation. Bravo, i love your groups sound, You really Punk ROCK.
Iggy is a legend period.
This formation should be the definition of a Rock band.
Best frontman ever
Iggy has a great smile
2016 show was near two hours, its preatty long for you, but the longest was in 1994 about 130mins remember..
The greater you are, the humbler you become
is that true ?
@@notanotherjamesmurphy5574 for some people
Magic lineup, please stay together
Yeah.... I had to order my copy as none in store. Oh well... Oh well. Hopefully that will inspire some others. I think it's an awesome production. Great mix of talent too.
To be the underdog that digs under the fence and runs free. F**K other peoples stupid expectations or judgements. Much love to Iggy!
the wild bunch of rock n rollers right here
What a brilliant pairing! I wish that the recent Chrissie Hynde/Dan Auerbach collaboration would've gone as well as Iggy & Josh's hook up.
I need one of those red jackets in my life right now.
"..and you're not leaving til you get hit with it.."
Wowzers!
So awesome thank you Austin City Limits.
I like Helders’ drum-playing a lot
They look like a superhero rock band dressed like they look cool as hell
Post pop is a great album
those jackets are awesome
Josh Homme and his word salads… he’s a master of saying a lot without saying much.
This is amazing. Side question, where's Matt Sweeney?
A lot of fun Oct/2018
All ears
TURN IT UP MARGE!!!🥸
josh looks sickly here
Too much bangin good dope. But artists have the right.
volume is waaaay too low. I can barely hear a word
turn it up then
And/Or, you MIGHT need to change your batteries
interview with Iggy Pop, Homme straight in with an extended answer leaving Iggy waiting for a chance to speak lol
You all still coming to Groningen?!!
is that jay larson back there?
Holy sheetz, that's a 70yr old man in a leather jacket w no shirt! Oh wait, it's Iggy...ok.
Bill Hader top left
How the hell did Iggy Pop live longer than David Bowie?
0:27 josh, he does not change doesn't he? xD
Did you have to adjust your volume to Max?!...Soundman should get his act together!!...Homme chewing the Stick....very annoying - :(
1:22
Lotta game up-age.
Wish I could write this properly or whatever...I got a notice yesterday, which was decided before this virus shit ,that my ticket isn't there anymore and I get a refund,??!!
I love PPD.... the only dumb moment comes on the last song with that ridiculous Iggy rant. I wish they'd collaborate again.
what a guy, what a rocker ( I'm sorry but springstein's not the boss--nobody is)
Iggy is the actual, living, King of Rock and Roll.👍
Poor old Dean & Mat... just hope the moneys there!
This ain't about money.
What's with the coats?
Josh u not going to out rock n roll stooges, no chance of that by you or anyone
there are plenty who find themselves in the spirit of rock n roll riding it
for a second
Homme is wrong about Iggy being the last of the "one and onlys"..
I think jesse hughes is rubbing off a bit on josh.
great album and great band but I do prefer Iggy without Josh Homme...just my PO
Can't blame you... but Josh is an amazing guest...
Iggy Pop space agency fail your music structural vein opal antenna genetic plant left side concert oral orbital measures?
Was that supposed to be funny?
Yeah... not really funny... the correct words are UPLIFTING, INSPIRATIONAL and LEGENDARY!!!
I would have given this a thumbs up, this is Josh Hommes related, so fuck that
Josh u r & always were trying to increase your brand...
I think the marching jackets is a stupid play up gimmick & of course you are all going to say it felt like a real band...one and only includes Ron, Scott, Dave, James, Scott...
Raw Power is the top & James knows how to produce too, listen to relicked, that record withiout Iggy turned out to be a tribute to Iggy's lyrical & presentations.
I don't understand why everthing that Josh does is so much better than QOTSA, it's like his worst project
arctic monkey sux
Matt has never performed with anyone just seven albums with the arctic monkeys
They are a cute couple.
