Scripture is explained by scripture and not what a person formulates out of their own mind, because this is not philosophy and universalism is antiChrist. Ye are gods is not talking about deity but judges. That's why reading the Word of God in full context is vital. It's the same as saying my lord in court and if you read the whole chapter the psalmist is referring to these judges who are God's representatives speaking on behalf of God but dealing with people unjustly and God is saying despite their judgement, He still remains the Supreme authority over every power and them too must be judged accordingly. We are the new creation man and not gods (2 Corinthians 5)

Slight interjection there boss. If you accept let us make man in verse 26 as a sum of the divine and and what he had already created in the previous six days as being the plural, then you are pointing to Genesis and accepting its veracity but implying the text was misunderstood. LET US is let us because the entity communicating is not singular. It is a plural. EL is singular Elohim is the plural of El, so right from the beginning Bereshith bara, Elohim, et hashamayin ve et haaretz...IN the Beginning God(plural) created the heavens and the earth. It was not a singular entity that gained its plurality via the the 6 day creative narrative. The plurality already existed from before the first "let us' was announced.

I’m always buffed by the biblical ignorance of Maponga, Psalm 86 vs 6 is God addressing spiritual beings/ angels/ the Devine council not human beings. Jesus uses this passage in John 10 to ague for his divinity, it would not make sense if God was addressing humans in Psalm 82!
Read the verse again as it is you will see it is not addressed to angels but men ...and then listen to what Mr J Maponga is saying without being emotional.

This is too much philosophy circling round what God said but then circumventing into DNA and other schools of thought.
In simple terms....God gave man the law and gave him dominion. If you want to know God gave law to man, look at how a son was told not to have sex with the mother even though we know the mother is older than the son, but it's the son who was told to ensure it never happens.
The reason we don't have dominion is because we are not following God's laws. For we had clear instructions of what would happen to us if we break God's laws and what blessings we would get if we obey God's laws.
All these schools of thought picking one item from God's word and then using it to create complex theories is maddening 🤦♀️
The procedure to regain our dominion is very simple, go back to God's laws because they govern this planet we live in. And when we do that, just like Jesus said, we will do more than he even did.
The key word here is obedience by choice. Which is what God has always looked for in human since the garden of eden.
But we humans have complex explanations as to why we are suffering it's too hard to contain all that information in our heads even we confuse ourselves even more.
When we get problems as humanity, we change constitution, we change laws, we change governments, we change religion, we pray more and fast more, we do more rituals and sacrifices. But we never sit down and think of how we need to obey God's laws. In fact this never comes up in most conversations. We come up with vaccines and medicine to deal with diseases but we never think of going back to God's laws so we can be whole again. We find it easier to take the medicine than to obey God's laws. We are taught how to do complex rituals and told about how spirit beings attack us and how to deal with these spirits. But no one ever talks about obeying God's law so that these spirits don't even come near us. Deliverance ministry has become an industry that makes a lot of money for those involved. So it's easier for us to give money to traditional doctors and pastors instead of obeying God's laws.
We never sit down to ask where we have gone wrong when it comes to our relationship with our creator.
Going back to God's laws doesn't even involve religion. You don't even need to go to church to obey God's laws. Because we obey the law of countries even if we are from different religions. But when it comes to God's laws, we involve religion and spirituality and we know very well God's laws have nothing to do with religion. Because it's a way of life. His laws tell us what to eat and not eat, his laws tell us how to deal with others, and how to take care of this planet he gave us.
Just obey God's laws that govern man and the universe, then you will get back dominion over earth, and once you do that, you can learn of any other complex concept you want without fear of hunger, poverty, insecurity or disease.
It's very simple, obey God's commandments!
Conclusion of the whole matter? Fear God & Keep His commandments, that is the whole duty of a man 🙏🏽.
