So glad you visited Apple Hill and High Hill Ranch!!! I've spent countless happy hours there with family and friends! Whoever gives this a thumbs down has never had the pleasure of the peaceful beauty and deliciousness to be had there. You should come back to the area in the Spring and taste the lavender donuts! I'm from Placerville, actually Diamond Springs. The apple fritters at High Hill are wonderful. BTW, . more like 1800 to 1900ft elevation.

You guys kind of went all in at one stop. The fun of Apple Hill is going around to all the different places. You guys did seem to miss the fudge shop/candy store at high hill too though.

ugh love apple hill! The owner ended up giving my friends and I a ride on his tracker out of everyone. He was so nice and humble...I used to live in sac but now I live in Vegas. Their apple fritter donuts and their beef jerky is the best I've had in my life! I love your adventures outside of Disneyland!

We just came back from an amazing trip to South Lake Tahoe. On the way we stopped at Apple Hill. We had such a great time. Thank you for the recommendation. In Tahoe we also ate at Heidi‘s and went to Eagle Falls. Thank you so much for being such a great source of information and fun!

High Hill is ok... there's literally dozens of other farms/bakeries in the area. Do some exploring, and discover your favorites! :)
At the sweets shop on the other side of the road from the market to the left of the pond they will slice an apple and pour that hot caramel on top. It is epic. Also their apple cider is one of the few that is not pasteurized. That means you can use it to make hard cider. Also if you leave it not refrigerated it will go bad in an afternoon.
This sucks ! We were just there 2 weeks ago ! WE LOVE YOU ALL ! WISH WE KNEW YOU'D BE THERE ! We tried to look for those doughnuts , long, long lines to get them though! Our mistake was being there on the weekend , you had the right idea going there in the week ! We were there on Sunday and the BBQ place was open , such good food ! Hopefully you go back ! Used to live in Reno and we always went to Apple Hill in the fall. I’ve been to the Ranch a couple of times. How I miss CA and NV. Live in CO now.

Now i want a donut from fractured prune but unfortunately it closed down at westgate here in Glendale az. So sad 😪 there is a couple locations still open in California somewhere. I’ve lived in the valley my whole life. Divided my years between Thornton and Stockton. I’ve never been to Apple Hill!! Such a shame. Ive gone to Disneyland more times than that area. 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
