I consider myself pretty good at english, but as a norwegian I always have to remind myself that the neck referes to the whole thing and not just the back of the neck. The norwegian word for the back of the neck is; Nakke so that's probably where the confusion comes from. Interested to know if there are any other norwegians that are the same. We do have other words in norwegian that sounds and are spelled the same as english words but means something different like Sky means cloud, while the sky is himmel. And if we're good and christian we go to himmelen. :P

I love things like that. In my language, Afrikaans, heaven is hemel, similar to your himmelen and himmel. Sky is lug which also means light.
