Hi, all! The name of the city Kahramanmaraş was "Maraş" before the War of Independence (1919-1922). The word "Kahraman" means "hero" in English, and the city was awarded this title because of the heroic resistance of the local people against French invasion. The name of the city "Gaziantep" was "Antep" before the War of Independence. The word "Gazi" means "veteran" in English, and the city was awarded this title because of the same reason: mind-blowing resistance of local people against French invasion.

I recommend you to come to Mersin. I'm from Mersin/Erdemli. He recommends you to eat Tantuni, Kerebiç dessert, squeezing, borek in Mersin, you should definitely see the Heaven-Hell Caves, Tisan and Eğribük coves, Kanlı Divane and Uzuncaburç ruins, Aynalı lake and Astım caves. I love you, you are such a sweet family. Our country is indeed a very beautiful and rich country.
