- The Delta program, spanning 60 years, came to a close with the launch of the final Delta IV Heavy rocket by United Launch Alliance (ULA) on April 9 at 12:53 p.m. EDT from Space Launch Complex-37 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida. The rocket, carrying the NROL-70 mission for the National Reconnaissance Office, marks the end of the Delta era and initiates the future of heavy lift on ULA’s next generation Vulcan rocket.

One of the longest serving LV's has been retired. Farewell delta, we shall never forget you and you will live on in the hearts of many space enthusiests.
O7 DIVH
Truly the most metal. Deltas heritage will live on in Vulcan, SLS, and H3.
Godspeed Delta IV Heavy, most metal of rockets, last scion of Thor, final heir to the proud Delta lineage. You shall not soon be forgotten.
Two more DCSS left to fly on SLS at least!
The slow motion lift off and view of Earth from space is always the coolest videos. Thanks to ULA for all you do for this country. So long Delta, looking forward to Vulcan.
I watched it live and man what a sight it was seeing that big honking collection of nuts, bolts, metal, wire and liquids lift off. Congratulatons ULA. 👍
Outstanding vehicle and Delta launched into the history books. Great camera work.
Delta IV well be remembered as one of the greatest rockets made.
D4H has and always will hold a special place in my heart and memory....!!! THANK YOU to ALL the folks at ULA that made the Delta series possible !!!
Onwards and Upwards !!!
GO VULCAN !!!!
The rocket is gone but it's legacy lives on!
Forever in our memories, Long live Delta IV Heavy
Goodbye Delta, you have been great. Thank you for all of your commitments to humanity
GG, Delta. You can rest now.
Fair well delta
We will tell stories of your heroism and service for many generations to come and we shall wait for your return in popularity in the hall of the heavy lift rockets

Well done Delta 9250H i got to feal the power a few times it's a magnificent Beast.
Crisp video great angles 👌
That burn off at :50 is absolutely awesome, breathtaking. Go ULA
You had a fantastic run Delta. You did great. It would gave been nice to see the nozzle extension slide into place one last time though.
You can see it slide into place at the end? The video just cuts off
Farewell Delta rocket platform. You gave us not only the hugely successful Delta 2, but also the younger brother the Delta 4.
The Delta 4 may now be obsolete in the face of the Falcon Heavy and Vulcan Centaur, but that doesn't underscore how successful the Delta 4 itself has been. Or how cool the heavy configuration for it was in general.
Farewell Delta, you served us and all of humanity well.
🫡 It was an honor, Delta
A beautiful thing
A somber moment, but what a freakin' heritage! How can you not appreciate and love the Delta line! Glad I got to see it! Now, while we fondly remember Delta, bring on Vulcan! May it have even more success!
A series of LV’s that’s been around as long as I have been. To everyone involved, thank you for a job done incredibly well done. GO DELTA!👍👍👍
Can`t believe i`m alive to witness such greatness. ❤
This was one of my favorite rockets, farewell… go Vulcan
Just beautiful. 100% mission success.
tao tao resterai nella history fratello che si da fuoco
Goes hard
Was awesome to be there. I will Miss Delta!
The most metal of all rockets sure did give a great final performance for the delta dynasty.
Delta IV produced some of the coolest liftoff footage of any rocket. Most notably at 1:41 and 1:54.
BRAVO ZULU DELTA!
Wow! Farewell, DeltaIV Heavy! 🤘
Yea, space.
Goodbye old friend!
Good Bye Delta Heavy. It is so incredible that today, SpaceX will launch Falcon Heavy and recover all three first stages to reuse.
How about next generation rocket of this type❤❤
Rip Delta program
Congratulations😊🥰🤣
🫡god speed
goodbye delta IV
Looked like fiction when it 1st launched in 2004. Stayed the lion kingdom's favorite rocket until around 2014. The future was falcon 9 by then.
