Fantastic film lads! It captured the atmosphere of the prep and actual crossing perfectly! I was one half of the Roaring40s duo, and we were at sea for almost three weeks after you hit Antigua’s shores 🤢 Seeing those waves knock you off your seats brings back so many memories! You guys smashed it. Well done 💪
@@furli13 pretty seamless, surprisingly. I remember things took some getting used to, then we’d perfected things by the time that Xmas weather left us in peace. Towards the end, when exhaustion and heat kicked in, we probably weren’t so efficient..
@@furli13 no, we did two hours rotation, always solo rowing. That gave us each time for eating/cleaning/water making/maintenance/whatever, then up to 90mins sleep/rest. We found that suited us best quite early in, to the point that we stowed the aft row position to make more room, and always rowed from the fore. I don’t actually know if that’s a common approach, but it worked well for us 🤷♂️
This was an awesome watch! Super inspirational and its always awesome seeing what a group of determined and competent people are capable of. Some random questions though - what did they eat? Did they play music or anything or just stoically row for a month? How did they poop!
I like to row, and if I were younger I would like to join you guys. However, I have a question. Your oars are designed for sculls, where the rower is much closer to the water than in your boat. A lot of your effort is wasted when the oar does not reach the water on one side of the boat. It would seem that a specially made oar for this class of boat would be in order. Maybe it should be 18" to 24" longer than the ones you are using now. That way it would seem from my perspective you would increase the probability of each stroke striking the water (catch). What are your thoughts on that?
Moved by all of it. The effort. The cinematography. The music. Incredible and inspiring work by all involved.

How were the rotations in a double?

@@IanYatesy did you row 1h together and one alone? So 2h row, 1h rest?

Loved it but can anyone tell me what their final placing was? I cannot find it anywhere. If it was mentioned in the Doc, I must have missed it.

🤘
What are they doing having Black Rifle Coffee as a sponsor. This is bad on Rogue for association.
What's wrong with BRCC?
Company started and ran by former military operatives is bad for Rogue. Nah
