You and the word "lazy" should never be in the same sentence! You are amazing: a talented, creative wizard and a beautiful soul! So very glad you decided to share your extraordinary self! Thank you!
I can barely use a hammer, and I am watching these videos! Not only are your designs beautiful and efficient, but your presentation -- the filming and your humour -- is just so engaging and inspirational. Thank you -- I may now learn how to use a hammer, and more!
A friend asked me why I was watching these videos. My reply - "It's a pleasure to watch a truly competent person work on a project, see it come to life before your eyes, and look at the beautiful end results." I'm not going to do what Cris does, but it is a pleasure to watch them work.
I'm a semi-retired joiner, wooden boat builder and general fixer of things ... seriously impressed by your design ideas, your multi-skilled craftsperson abilities, your attention to detail and ...well; everything. Seriously, seriously impressed. Chapeau.
Thank you for including your mistakes and problem solving process. It is so helpful and encouraging to see someone work through the inevitable problems that will arise!
So obsessed with your furniture builds...You're like the Portuguese version of IKEA...I wanna be you when I grow up...I'm 57 and afraid of powertools, but still...Lol ;)
She is super talented, isn't she! I wish I could get her into my garage to not only regularly inspire me, but to help me get organized enough of a shop to do what she does! She's got a ton of talent! She's definitely top tier in skillsets!
Cristiana, You are so talented. In the shop, playing music, or behind the camera... Thanks for your descriptive voiceover, your explanations are great. Thanks for sharing.
Thankyou!Thankyou!Thankyou! You solved my problem for drawers slides in a blind corner cabinet. My wife will be so pleased. This has been a bain of my existence for about 5 years. Never entered my mind to put them on the bottom parallel to each other.
I am so excited to see and watch this video which I found to be the best video everseen, in my home we are buy ready made ones furnitures never try to do such thing although minimum tools are available in the country. I really appreciated young lady effort of making this professional task. I encourage you to do so and willing to get for you a market in East Africa if you are willing to.
Every time I see someone gettin the sawing machine ready to work it seems magic to me. My mother was a seamstress and I'm amazed every single time. Magic, nothing less!
I used to do furniture re-upholstery, a long time ago, But I have to tell you the way you pieced the foam together to make the arm, is exactly how we did it to make custom cushions. I like your work, you have a wonderfully diverse skill set, and I look forward to watching more of your videos. :)
Great work, so innovative. Thank you for sharing this with us, but also thank you for showing your mistakes. It is very encouraging for learners like me to see that accomplished makers like yourself make mistakes too, but then show you how they put them right. Thanks again.
I think you're super smart for thinking of all those things and foreseeing them before application. It may just be experience, but it still demands a great deal of creativity and problems solving skills.
A nice solution with the trapezoidal drawers. This sofa loos very Scandinavian, as you use every space available to maximum effect. Your compact apartment must amaze everyone who see it.
such a cool build. i sewed my couch cover and pillow covers with zips by guessing.would have been nice to see this video first. pinning takes forever love the tape. super pro build..thanks for sharing
Watching you work is a real joy. You're so smart and skilled, I love how much thought went into everything, but how you weren't afraid to make mistakes, either!
What an inspiring video, thank you for that excellent work! For anyone interested in making the cushion covers, don’t forget to backstitch a few stiches at the beginning and end of each seam, to make sure it is nice and strong 🙂
What a remarkably impressive person. I deeply admire the level of skill, as well as the breadth of your skillset. Seriously blown away by how knowledgable and capable you are as an individual, thank you for the video and I hope to make something similar for my home some time soon!
I would be OK with the carpentry but the sewing - man, that's way out of my league. Amazed that you have the skills to do it all. Really cool vid - incredible skill set on display. Thanks.
You are an inspiration to me. I want to learn to do stuff like this myself. I am so tired of trying to make things fit in this rental apartment by buying big box store stuff.
okay, 1. I find this video super relaxing 2. you're so great! you make the sofa, and the cushion, and not to forget film it on a great angle! great work!
Wow, great job. You are so clever. I have been sewing over 50 years and I loved your trick for using the sticky tape while installing the zippers. I could have really used that idea through the years. Thanks 😊
Very nice work, Cris! Even if you don't like sewing, you're pretty good at it! I am a bit envious of the Festool Domino thingy - I am still stuck at the small biscuit style fasteners, but they work well enough for me, so that I always shy away from that hefty price tag... It's a bit sad, that you lose access to the small compartment underneath the bed behind the couch, but I guess that was unavoidable to keep the strength of the side walls of the bed. This will be a spectacular apartment, once it is finished! Great job so far!
Michael Rommel Thank you very much Michael! Yes, it was unavoidable to lose that bottom space but anyway, if I reaaally want, I can still use it to put things I grab once a year or so 😂 and move the sofa away. Cheers!
You are all about precision! I love that. Being important to have knockdownability (do you like that word?) you were very creative with pocket holes…..very ingenious! Good tools are so important and matched with a bit of skill, you have created something beautiful. Well done!
Great Video -Thank you for posting! I can't say that I will dare to make this myself but it was very nice to watch you do this. I wish I could do this for my brother!
I make mistakes all the time and learn from them. If I see other people make mistakes I learn from them. Its very useful to see you make mistakes and is a sign of your strength as a maker, not a weakness. This is a great build and I look forward to seeing more of your work.
What a great project! So much fun to watch you build the couch and the murphy bed. First time I've seen one of your videos. You have a great teaching style! Keep up the great work. :)
Holy cow. You are AMAZING. It blows my mind how much patience you have to complete such a big project. And, love your hair cut. And mad drumming skills. Great job on every single aspect of this video.
I really like how you keep mistakes in to show how you fix them and roll with the punches adding a strip of wood to overcut board was genius thanks for tip
This has become my favorite channel in the past few days. I watched the entry wardrobe video yesterday and became so inspired that I picked up $300 worth of supplies to create my own in my closet. In this video, I was expecting the part where you say "then I bought the cushions..." but NO - you MADE your own cushions. I am beyond amazed. Thank you for your channel and your jokes here and there (about furniture getting too big for your small size or not having good relationships with pins...lol).
Oh, also, I used to work at a fabric store here in the states. To cut big foam like that, we use an electric knife (like the kind you cut turkey with). It works like a charm!
very well done, loved watching the process and really appreciated the small details where you could really see you take a bit more time to make sure YOU were happy with it. well done
Your DIY project is almost dustless..im impress not only you did the sofa, you make those cushions as well. Thought earlier you bought those cushions!👍👍👍
Only finding out about this video now, as I'm looking for this type of Murphy bed for my place in Spain. Sooooo cool, you have inspired me to make my hands dirty!
That sewing made my jaw drop, because I always struggle with zippers. Especially the hidden ones. Your way is so simple, yet genius. I will definitely try this next time.
That angular trapezoidal drawer... amazing!!! Only something you could do on your own... without having to fork out a fortune, or search high and low for someone willing to do it.
8:11 It is a sign of great fluency when you spontaneously curse in English instead of Portuguese. :D 17:27 Beautiful Porto sunset out the doors of the shop.
Your method for putting the slides on the trapezoidal drawers is brilliant! Great work!
As my son would say, those trapezoidal drawers are da bomb !
yep brilliant one.
Seriously, that just blew my mind. So clever!
I was about to say!
Was going to say that I can only echo what has already been said, but I'd actually go further: I think it's genius.
You and the word "lazy" should never be in the same sentence! You are amazing: a talented, creative wizard and a beautiful soul! So very glad you decided to share your extraordinary self! Thank you!
Thanks for the compliment! Actually I feel pretty lazy sometimes ahah!
untill the episode where she builds a lazy susan, lol. i kid, i totaly agree... i need this kind of energy
The drumming interlude is greatly appreciated. Another great build and video. You are awesome.
Great rythm ! I want it to last longer hahaha
This is insanely well made. I’m speechless with the amount of talent in this person!

Testing, testing...1,2,3... start with a drill and work your way up. Plenty of tips out there, you got this!
"Thank you so much for watching--"
NO. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO. I was so impressed with everything you did!
OMG I was a fan already "just" for the woodworking talent, but she can do so many things...
I'm really impressed
Woodworking, sewing, video editing, etc.! What amazing skill-sets!
and musician!!! She's really amazing.
Multi talented person... So genius
She is super talented, isn't she! I wish I could get her into my garage to not only regularly inspire me, but to help me get organized enough of a shop to do what she does! She's got a ton of talent! She's definitely top tier in skillsets!

Crisitiana You're a beast. Great Video!

That trapezoid slide was nicely done.
The style of your videos is really unique on YT. I appreciate how devoted you are to a clean and elegant design! Keep up the great work!
Where did you learn to make furniture? Amazed at how seamless you made this. Pure craftmenship!
You can learn it by yourself, especially when you have all this expensive tools that she has.
Really Amazing work you’ve got, lady. We Indians ain’t got no such a skilled workers like your peeps.
I used to do furniture re-upholstery, a long time ago, But I have to tell you the way you pieced the foam together to make the arm, is exactly how we did it to make custom cushions. I like your work, you have a wonderfully diverse skill set, and I look forward to watching more of your videos. :)

Great build. I love the tape method instead of pins to hold the fabric together.
Wish I would of thought of that. Could of saved many little pin holes in my fingers, and pins on the floor.
I love that too. Hate putting in zippers, but this seems to make the job that much easier. Clever girl!
"A border all around for stitching the pieces together," when you sew, that's called seam allowance. So cute!
such a cool build. i sewed my couch cover and pillow covers with zips by guessing.would have been nice to see this video first. pinning takes forever love the tape. super pro build..thanks for sharing
I just love the cleanliness and sharp details in your furniture build. No messy stuff. Great video.
I don't know what I am more impressed by... your quality work, multi-talent, or style.
Amazing.
Watching you work is a real joy. You're so smart and skilled, I love how much thought went into everything, but how you weren't afraid to make mistakes, either!

I would be OK with the carpentry but the sewing - man, that's way out of my league. Amazed that you have the skills to do it all. Really cool vid - incredible skill set on display. Thanks.
That was an amazing build. Loved how you did the trapezoidal drawer.
Killer project, Cris! Love the utility and the design.
superb work😎😎
Amazing build! I love the ingenuity to adapt to the walls, the angles even to cut down screws to size. Kudos!
Is it a man or a woman?
@@nefneg1 c'est quelqu'un qui travaille et le fait bien .Le fait que ce soit un homme ou une femme importe peu !
WOW ! This Boy knows everything about the work with woods , upholstery and more. And He is very skilful.
Watching you work away reminds me of designers who make dresses.
They are usually talented people as that's necessary to make a clothing from scratch.
You are an inspiration to me. I want to learn to do stuff like this myself. I am so tired of trying to make things fit in this rental apartment by buying big box store stuff.
okay,
1. I find this video super relaxing
2. you're so great! you make the sofa, and the cushion, and not to forget film it on a great angle! great work!
The trapezoidal drawers at 18:50 - really, really clever! I'm new to the channel - and now a subscriber :)
Particularly impressed by the unusual use of the drawer runners. Very clever.
This one is a clean masterpiece. Amazing mechanism. Fall in love with it.
That's the best damn free hand foam cut I've ever seen I'll tell you what
I love crafting channels, and your workspace and tools are so clean looking! (My OCD is satisfied.) Cool stuff.
You are very talented. You look like you have been sewing for years.
Wow, great job.
You are so clever.
I have been sewing over 50 years and I loved your trick for using the sticky tape while installing the zippers. I could have really used that idea through the years.
Thanks 😊
Your craftmanship, drumming skill, sewing, and beautiful furniture ideas. Wow! Ur a whole package. So talented!!

Excelente trabajo...saludos desde Cúcuta Colombia.🙋
I like your "sewing machine" brand sewing machine.
Haha. Yeah, that was a good touch.
+1 - but the big red "S" on the adjustment dial gives it away.
that "sewing machine" label is so helpful! wouldn't want to mistake it for a hammer :D
Hi I really admire your skills and commitment to complete
A project with amazing details overall your professionalism. Regards from Mexico
You are a versatile person.. I congratulate you on your work style.
8:11 It is a sign of great fluency when you spontaneously curse in English instead of Portuguese. :D
