Ross, when you get the 'Mega Hat' feature, count to the tenth hat that scrolls down the screen, it will stop on that one (not two side by side, that counts as one). It makes no difference to the outcome, you just know, when it will stop.

You need to avoid that game, and stick to the single screen version, where if you will be betting $10.00 per spin there, the payouts will be much bigger.
