This bracelet is made of 316L stainless steel and has curved end pieces, solid links, screw pins, and a micro-adjustment clasp. I also share some tips and tricks on how to overcome the challenges of installing this bracelet. You will see how this bracelet transforms the look and feel of the watch, making it more elegant and comfortable. The watch itself is powered by a Seiko NH34 SII movement and has a cool GMT function.
GMT watches are watches that can display two time zones simultaneously. The term GMT stands for Greenwich Mean Time, which was the official world time until 1972. GMT watches were first developed for pilots and travelers who needed to keep track of different time zones. The first GMT watch was the Rolex GMT-Master, which was created in 1954 in collaboration with Pan American Airways. The watch had a second hour hand that completed one rotation every 24 hours, and a rotating bezel that showed the 24-hour scale. The wearer could easily read the local time and the GMT time from the dial. Since then, many other watch brands have produced their own versions of GMT watches, with different designs and features.
Stainless bands are common for dive watches because they are durable, corrosion-resistant, and easy to adjust. Dive watches are exposed to harsh conditions, such as salt water, pressure, and impact. Stainless steel is a material that can withstand these challenges and maintain its appearance and functionality. Stainless steel bands also have the advantage of being able to fit over different types of exposure suits, such as wetsuits or drysuits. Some stainless steel bands have extensions or micro-adjustments that allow the wearer to adjust the size of the band without using any tools. Stainless steel bands also have a versatile look that can suit different occasions and styles.
DIY Watch Club is a Hong Kong-based business that sells watch kits and associated tools at a very reasonable price. DIY Watch Club was founded by a group of watchmakers who wanted to share their passion and knowledge with others. They offer various types of watch kits, such as dive watches, pilot watches, dress watches, and sport watches. Each kit comes with all the components, tools, and video instructions needed to assemble a mechanical watch in around 120 minutes. DIY Watch Club aims to provide an enjoyable and educational experience for anyone who loves watches or wants to learn more about watchmaking.
