We go down the slippery slope because the slope happens. We talked about him appointing so many justices because we were afraid they would overturn roe v wade. We specifically asked the justices about it when confirming them and they all said no, they wouldn't over turn. What happened once they were confirmed? They overturned. After they over turned, We said that would pave the way for banning birth control and ivf. What's happening now? Now they are challenging certain birth controls, and ivf is halting in many states due to the idea of " conception at fertilization" laws that make certain aspects of the ivf process illegal. The slippery slope isn't a typical slippery slope in regards to trump. It is a logical extension of ideas of what his policies will come to pass.
Misinformation here. No state has halted IVF treatments. Look it up. A few IVF “clinics” have halted treatments. It’s not the states but the providers. Need to learn to blame the actual people guilty involved (medical community in this case). Now looking at “logical extension”, Trump was already President once and none of the fiction presented on the left occurred. In fact most of that fiction was in fact perpetrated by the left. Political manhunts and arrests. Left. Almost getting the world tied up in WW3, left. Killing off LGBTQ community, the left with child indoctrination for castration. Destruction of cities both economically and infra-structurally, left. I can go on, but it’s a simple google search that just requires knowing what to ask. Like in this example, “what states have halted IVF treatments.” If you read it has states listed but that’s the category of where the clinics are based. It then names those clinics involved.

Yeah, I doubt anyone has to worry except for some of those criminals and terrorists who just recently invaded and we know their background or they didn’t show up for their dates or they don’t qualify for asylum. No one legit or honest is going to get deported.
one of the major benefits of becoming a citizen is protection from deportation. Which given false convictions are a thing, is a big deal. It's doubtful that somebody convicted on shaky evidence would have their citizenship revoked on the matter.
The current standard for denaturalization is along the lines of someone is already a terrorist, lying on the citizenship application, and then it could be revoked because they obtained citizenship thru fraudulent means. People in Trump's orbit have gone on record saying they want to 'turbocharge' denaturalization -- what does that mean exactly? If they're talking about ramping up enforcement under existing law (obtaining it fraudulently), you're right and its overblown and the number of additional cases that will actually be brought is also likely miniscule (which is very Trumpian, make a mountain out of a mole hill and campaign on it) -- if they're talking about reinterpretation to broaden the standards, there's legit room for concern. My girlfiend, like you, is naturalized -- but her immediate reaction was 'WTF?!". She comes from an Eastern European country, been here about 30 years and her worst crime is managing to get multiple speeding tickets in the course of a week; but she's also seen how boiling the frog and cultural division works firsthand. Her dad was in a concentration camp at one point, the entire family next door was killed as part of the 'cleansing', and she personally still carries sniper bullet fragments in her body as a result of it... she's pretty spun up about the whole thing.

I asked my friend who is a lawyer about this yesterday and she said they’re not coming after you but if you commit a crime, in sanctuary cities right now, they’re not allowed to ask you if you’re legal or not that is going to change if they find out that you’re illegal, and you have committed a crime, then you may be subject to deportation
In my opinion, sanctuary cities report people upon conviction. It's still within the principle of protecting immigrants who are friends and contrubute to society, to turn someone in whose caused harm

This is a little ridiculous. I mean, as long as you’re not committing felonies you don’t have anything to worry about. Maybe naturalized citizens should not commit felonies.
First, you're underestimating how easy it's to become a felon. A DUI can be a felony. Self defense gone wrong can end up becoming a felony. There are a lot of minor crimes that can result in a felony. Second, committing a felony can't be ground to revoking someone's citizenship. The felony needs to have been committed before the naturalization. There are very limited situations where someone can commit something after naturalization to cause them to lose their citizenship and all of them have to do with being against the USA, and that's only limited to a certain number of years. Most denaturalization have to do with people who lied on their application.
@@tonymouannes This is what people don’t seem to understand… Felonies are fairly easy to commit, in fact practically every one of us have committed multiple felonies in our lifetime. At 17 he was charged with theft for breaking into a former foster home to get his stuff. and eventually deported to South Korea. He had to leave behind a wife and children. There is another story of someone sent back to Cambodia because of a teen crime.
Crimes as a minor don’t apply against you for immigration purposes unless it is serious and you were tried as an adult. A simple search of the INA (immigration nationality act) will confirm this.

Can you explain how this happens? He committed a crime at 17, but then got married before getting sent home... Why didn't he get a green card through his wife? Why didn't he apply for citizenship on his own? Why did ICE target him for deportation? In a large dutch oven over medium heat at lard to melt. Place pork in dutch oven and cook. You may need to do this in batches. Red Chile Sauce: Place all ingredients, except salt, in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Let the contents cool for about 10 minutes and place everything in blender, including salt. Blend until smooth and salt more if needed. Add sauce to dutch oven with pork and let this simmer over medium low heat for 20 minutes. Add masa flour to large mixing bowl and add baking powder and salt. Mix thoroughly. Add in melted lard and half of the water. Mix with your hands until thoroughly incorporated. At this point add any reserved, (and measured), broth from the pork and use more water if needed to complete the 7 cups of liquid. Mix with your hands thoroughly until you've made a masa that is smooth and spreads easily. If it is crumbly and dry, add a little more water. Try adding a tablespoon at a time. If it is too sticky add a tablespoon of masa flour. Try the masa and adjust salt as needed. Assemble Tamales Grab a corn husk, shake off water, and spread about 4 tablespoons of masa onto the smooth bottom part of the husk. You will spread this along the straight edge of the husk, not the pointed end. *The amount of masa you use will depend on the size of your husk. You want the masa to spread across the husk and leaving about ¼ of an inch of the bottom of the husk without masa and only spreading it up to mid husk, spreading roughly into a 4 inch square or rectangle. R Add about 2 tablespoon of the pork filling. Fold over one side of the husk over and then fold the other side of the husk on top. This will make a cone-like shape. Fold over the pointed end of the husk over to seal the bottom of the tamale. You can choose to tie a piece of husk around the tamale to secure it but this is not necessary. *The amount of filling you use will depend on the amount of masa used. Add just enough water to steamer to cover the bottom but not spill over the insert. Cover the top of the insert with some corn husks to create a base/barrier between the water and tamales. Bring this water to a boil and then reduce heat. Arrange tamales onto steamer making sure they're all facing up. Cover with lid and increase heat to high to bring back to a boil. Leave the temperature at high for 20 minutes then reduce heat to medium. Finish steaming tamales at medium heat for additional 25-40 minutes. Test the tamales after 25 minutes on medium heat. If they don't separate from the husk easily, are still sticking to the husk, or the masa is still slightly raw and sticky, steam for additional 15 minutes. Once cooked, remove tamales from steamer and serve with your favorite salsa drizzled on top and favorites sides.

I myself was not born in the United States but became a citizen since my dad was a citizen. My mom became a permanent resident but befor i became a citizen. You have to file for permanent resident statutes, and once you get it, then you file for citizen statutes. Along as you are under 18, your parents' citizenship can transfer over. I have a brother and a sister, but since my parents were of legal status, they did not abuse the birth right system. My dad came to the United States in the early 90s so he was able to get a citizenship since at the time they needed workers and companys were giving papers to become a permanent resident. Than my dad to the citizenship test and became a citizen. That is how the citizen statutes is obtained through hard work not just have weekend babies and boom you are a citizen and than you can fix your parents a resident card when you became 21 years of age. The other way is to get married with a person that possess citizen statutes or permanent resident statutes. Either way the spouse will only get permanent resident statutes. But it is up too the spouse if they want to became a citizen by taking the citizen test.
@ldkellandshaw then I might be missing something because. 5 years ago, my uncle, who is a permanent resident, gave resident status to his wife and child, who was born in Mexico. Last December, my other uncle managed to do the same with his wife. So again, I don't know. I'm not an imagination lawyer. I'm just speaking for what I have noticed. All I know is that along as you have legal status in the United States. You can sponsor a spouse, which is what an imagration lawyer told my father. I mean, it makes sense. Really, along as it is done legally, there is no reason to even complain about a resident sponsoring their spouse. Since the problem here is not legal immigrants but rather illegal immigrants at the end. Also, in the immigration sector, there are sometimes shady things going on as well. Also, it ain't cheap either. If you are lucky, you can get resident statutes with $10k, but you are unlucky. i heard stories about people spending up to $30k dollars to become residents. That's sometimes why they remain ilegal for several years before applying for papers. I was just lucky as well as my mother. Since my father made decent money when he became a citizen, I think it was a miracle since he doesn't even know English fluently.
@ldkellandshaw oh okay, so. If a permanent resident gets married in the United States, they can't sponsor a new spouse, at least in the United States. Does this apply to marriage outside of the United States as well, or can people lie about the length of time they have been married to? Example: I know a couple that were only married for 2 years, and the man being the permanent resident filed for his wife, and she will receive her permanent residency this December. Again, man was already a permanent resident but was not married to his wife for a long time. I could argue that she only got married to him to receive a green card. In fact, i know a lot of people are doing this.
Jamaicans have known about this for a while it’s not new to us. We’ve heard plenty of stories about being deported. Personally this has happened to one of my uncles over 10 years ago.

As such if they break those restrictions you can sue them for violating your civil liberties.
We get it Kevin, your candidate won. The GOP has used the slippery slope argument, too, particularly related to gay marriage and abortion. Both sides use it and it is a ridiculous argument.
Worst case Kevin is they're gonna take all your assets and kick you out. Hopefully not though, but they could if you pissed them off. If it's federally implemented any state leadership that doesn't like you could do it too. Interesting times ahead.
I came to America as a baby/toddler at the age of 3 with my grandmother, to join my parents who were graduate students in STEM. Unfortunately, I am sure they will take away my citizenship when the next four years are over. I was a US citizen ever since I was 14. I hated the fact that I will inevitably be kicked back to China just because, but that is most likely the reality now. My brother who is a born citizen will probably end up the same, too. Hence, here come the concentration camps for Chinese people of any ancestry. 😮💨
Do you need to shut the f up we don't have concentration camps in america. Concentration camps are where my family members were tortured because they were jewish. Detention camps are not concentration camps and if you're a citizen no one's going to take it away. You people are freaking nuts.
All men who are 18 through 25 must be registered with the selective service system. It doesn’t end the day you become 25. It ends the day you become 26, aka you are no longer required to be registered with selective service on your 26th birthday. That being said, draft eligibility actually lasts through the age of 34. On your 35th birthday, you cannot currently be drafted if there ever was a draft. That could change through the passing of laws in Congress.
@ Yes, there are certainly. exceptions. I didn’t get into it. This is the government we’re dealing with. lol! Technically, we’re not 26 years old until our 26th birthday. We can be drafted the day we reach 18 years old and all the while we are the age of 25. It’s not as confusing as some may think. I think the age eligibility for the military is 18 to 41( also some exceptions) You can join the military while you are 41, but not the day you turn 42.
FYI. People born in Commonwealth like Puerto Rico are not naturalized but considered second class citizen based on the SCOTUS insular cases as their citizenship rights are limited. Even if you served on the military and have a pension, your benefit is reduced if you retire in a Commonwealth, for example. So, if born in a Commonwealth, serve in the military, and retire in a Commonwealth, your benefit is less.

It is a logical extension of ideas of what his policies will come to pass.
..." they are challenging certain birth controls," Who is "they" ?
@curie3938 the states no?
No. This is a non-issue. It’s illogical. Finding and deporting illegals is already a big ask (difficult and expensive)
Well said with examples 🔥🔥

one of the major benefits of becoming a citizen is protection from deportation. Which given false convictions are a thing, is a big deal.
It's doubtful that somebody convicted on shaky evidence would have their citizenship revoked on the matter.
Yup .. its only people born here that think this is new
The current standard for denaturalization is along the lines of someone is already a terrorist, lying on the citizenship application, and then it could be revoked because they obtained citizenship thru fraudulent means.
This is a little ridiculous. I mean, as long as you’re not committing felonies you don’t have anything to worry about. Maybe naturalized citizens should not commit felonies.
Then it’s not a citizenship..
So if Trump were a naturalized citizen, he would be de-naturalized because he is a convicted felon?
First, you're underestimating how easy it's to become a felon. A DUI can be a felony. Self defense gone wrong can end up becoming a felony. There are a lot of minor crimes that can result in a felony.
Second, committing a felony can't be ground to revoking someone's citizenship. The felony needs to have been committed before the naturalization. There are very limited situations where someone can commit something after naturalization to cause them to lose their citizenship and all of them have to do with being against the USA, and that's only limited to a certain number of years.
Most denaturalization have to do with people who lied on their application.

I don’t care, I’m just here to post my Tamales Recipe:
Ingredients
2 lb pork shoulder or pork butt cubed
1 tbsp salt
2 tbsp lard can use preferred oil
red chile sauce
masa
1 lb corn husks
Red Chile Sauce
10 guajillo peppers
3 ancho peppers
½ onion
3 garlic cloves
1 tsp salt
1½ cups water
Masa
8 cups masa flour
7 cups warm water *see notes
2 cups lard melted, **see notes
2 tbsp baking powder
3 tsp salt
Instructions
Place corn husks in a large mixing bowl, and fill with hot water.
In a large dutch oven over medium heat at lard to melt.
Place pork in dutch oven and cook. You may need to do this in batches.
Red Chile Sauce:
Place all ingredients, except salt, in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Assemble Tamales
Grab a corn husk, shake off water, and spread about 4 tablespoons of masa onto the smooth bottom part of the husk. R
Add about 2 tablespoon of the pork filling.
All of this is great. People who aren't doing like highly illegal shit are safe. Like this seems to be the for the most extreme.

@@MeetKevin I almost unsubbed from your title and giving a voice to the ECONOMIST's ridiculous predictions.
@@MeetKevin You've been terrorizing bulls for months. Pack your bags.
A Permenant Resident cannot sponsor a new spouse to immigrate. That right is reserved for US Citizens.
@ you’ve just made the key point - they were already married when he became a PR. A PR cannot sponsor a NEW spouse for a Green Card.
I'm 99.99% sure your uncle only had a green card.
@ nope was a citizen. Married with children who were around US born teenagers at the time.

Fact Check: Stephen Miller, a prominent advisor to President Donald Trump, has advocated for intensifying efforts to denaturalize U.S. citizens who obtained their citizenship improperly. Denaturalization refers to the legal process of revoking an individual's U.S. citizenship, typically due to fraud or misrepresentation during the naturalization process. During Trump's first term, the administration established a "denaturalization task force" within the Department of Justice, focusing on identifying and prosecuting cases where citizenship was allegedly obtained fraudulently. This initiative marked a significant shift, as denaturalization had previously been reserved for extreme cases, such as war criminals.

Kev, constitutional rights are restrictions placed on the government. The government has no capacity to violate your rights because they are the ones being restricted from the action, it has nothing to do with the individuals citizenship. As such if they break those restrictions you can sue them for violating your civil liberties.

Draft eligibility age ends at 25, not 26. It’s 18 to 25 yrs old for all U.S male citizens and immigrants.
I guess no one has ever been falsely accused of a crime!
Thats the best finish to your video period! Lol
