Thanks the tape mod and polyfil changed my M1 for the better. Now the board has flex and a far better sound then with the two layers of foam.

Try to put all the stock foams instead of poly fill and put 3 layers of tape on the back of the PCB. It's even better, like freaking thoooooocky. But the flex is gone, so if you dont care about the flex (I dont understand the hype, I hate flex keyboard lol) then go for it.l@@tuborgselim876

Hmmmm... I did the same mods than you except for the PE sheet under the plate... my build sounds almost identical... I might go ahead and add more Poly-fil and the PE sheet to get the same sound profile as you! It sounds even more marbly than mine! Great video! :D

I just replaced the stock foam to poly fill today and man, my M1 sounded so good w it and each key has a balanced creamy poppy sound
was there a big diff between stock foam and polyfill?
@@rendomize3954 more like the sound profile is different, polyfill sounds poppier and creamier compared to stock foam

have you ever tried keebtape or should i stick to normal masking tape for this, how would keebtape change the sound profile? For the PE foam and polyfill is there a specific place you get it from or anythingin particular i should dknow?
have u tried other popular or good stabilizer mods? Would it be better to use a different one because I'm not sure how long and efficive the holee mod lasts compared to other stab mods

Just waiting for my M1! did you let the stabilizers sit in the pe foam or did you cut it enough for them to sit on the included stabilizer pads with the foam around them? Also, is eva foam as good or better than pe or it doesn't really matter? I'm planing to do the same mods for mine thanks for the great video!
yes i cut the part where the stabs sit. Eva foam serves a different purpose than pe foam. Eva is for muted sound, pe is for marbly/poppy sound

i'm pretty sure those teflon pads are meant to be used on the case instead of the stabilizers, the ones i received are properly shaped to fit around the screws.
yes they are, but they can also double as padding for force break mod since they include a lot
For me I kept the case foam. I didn't like how muted the poly fill made my m1 v3 sound, it was too muted. For some reason the case foam sounded louder. It may be that I used too much polyfill

In my mind he could dampen the sound a bit while making it still creamy. But he could destroy it aswell lmao.

for the pe foam, did you take the plate foam out and swap it for the pe foam, or are there 2 foams inside
both pe and plate foam are there

Regarding the PE foam, do u simply just insert the switches through them and they’ll pierce through with no issues to the switch pins? Meaning I only need to cut out the stab holes?
yes just stab through them, though i cant really guarantee that it will work for pe foam thicker than 1mm

I'm a noob and I'm about to build my first keeb, but I think that PE foam works as a switch pad replacement.

so why not use the included sticker pad that you stick on the bottom of the alu frame? polyfil better?
not sure but i think that was for tape mod so i didnt include since i did the whole tape mod myself

Why does everyone do the holee mod. You dont need it if the stabilizer hoousing is not moving.
that's WOB SAL profile keycaps you used. Not the Black and Gold. I can tell cause I own them both.
These are black and gold as shown in the video. YELLOW legends in black and gray base. WoB is WHITE on BLACK base :)

The stab pad could also be used for forcebreak too and u didnt balance the wire yet….
did the balancing off cam, just adjusted the wires a bit as they were really balanced even stock. You could use the stab pads I guess but the bandaid serves the same purpose, but people could go with the pads if they like, same thing.
