air start?? interesting, i had no idea these prairie tractors had that option. thought it was more of an industrial engine feature. is there a pony motor on the tractor to build air pressure?

Probably not they probably turned the flywheel backwards pumping air into a tank or they just hooked it up to a air compressor:)
