Every time I hear these kind of entitled stories, I feel sorriest for the people who have to live with the consequences of the Karen's actions. Like the last story, her son and husband (presumably has) have to take the financial hit for what she did. They never take into consideration who their actions will hurt cause they're so selfish.
I still can't wrap my head around 'borrowed' lunch - and I don't want to know how they think it will be returned. And if you're that allergic you have to an epi pen WTF?
Story 1 had an update. Boss apologized to OP because he was stressed. The Person who ate the food did it because she was strictly watched in what she ate. Op did went to HR about it and is also gonna end up quitting due to this situation.
She should sue because of the hostile work environment causing them to quit because a dumbass ate their food and got hospitalized after knowing what was in it
I can understand the momentary stress of the boss, watching his daughter nearly die, so the initial outburst is forgivable. (If asked for) However, continued threats aren't.
A couple other edits I read: OP and others were reporting the food thieving, but it hadn't drawn enough conclusive evidence until then. Also, the coworkers backed off by the end of the day when they found out she always brings in a peanut sauce, and it wasn't a targeted F.U. to the thief.
@@Maninawig That's so dumb. How could it possibly be a targetted FU to the thief when they didn't know who the thief was, much less that she had a peanut allergy? On what planet does that make any sense? Sounds like OP was working with a bunch of really dumb people who were trying to get in good with the boss.
OP in the last one, WTF? Even if it was your private phone, you should call the police. You can’t guarantee that that woman would really have given it back.
I can just imagine the Karen in the last story simpering pleading in front of a judge, swearing up and down that she had no idea she was committing corporate espionage and "I just wanted to give my son a tooooy" and making a complete fool of herself. Classic!
Story 1: The boss could be reported to the police for trying to extort money from the OP. Story 1: The OP could alert the HR about the repeated such theft by the bosses daughter and the extortion attempt stemming from the latest lunch theft due to an allergic reaction. Story 2: Roy is lucky to not have been arrested for knocking hot food all over the waitress and on the floor. Story 4: The OP could have threatened to press charges for attempted theft and it might have been a felony depending on the monetary value of the item
Not extortion as he didn't threaten her job if she didn't pay up. Edit: found the post. She was reporting the food issues to HR, but nobody knew it was the bosses daughter, however HR now has irrefutable proof to pin it all on her. Again, not extortion, but he did get in trouble
@borgranta61103 the boss wasn't the one she feared retaliation from, but the daughter. She decided to leave because the daughter could have made it a hostile work environment. The boss himself actually backed down and had lashed out that 1 day (total) out of fear of his daughter nearly dying. But HR spoke with him, and he apologized.
Story 4: Avent Children is great, and OP is a freaking legend! I am certain that woman will think twice before trying is crap again. Honestly I wouldve loved if the officer agreed to let OP hit her if she doubled down on the lie. This is my new favorite story
Story 1: NTA. The boss got his daughter with a potentially deadly food allergy a job where not only did she steal someone’s lunch, neither him or his daughter warned the workplace about the allergy. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. It’s also hilarious and an easy HR win for OP if the boss tries to effect their job and/or livelihood in any manner.
As a mexican i feel disgusted by the way those shop owners and the bus driver treated Fluff and his friends, not everyone is an asshole but of course there are exceptions like them
Food thief story: When OP's boss threatened OP with paying for his daughter, OP should have responded with "So, you want me to pay for a THIEFs mistake? NO WAY!" Ofc, that may get OP fired, but he really needed to emphasize that boss's daughter is a THIEF.
Story 1, consult a lawyer ASAP and have them go with you to HR to handle this ASAP to put that boss in his place and to address the brown nosers. Last story, good that a Karen had to face consequences for her actions, besides she was amply warned by OP that this would happen.
It is actually up to the Boss/HR and the Employee to make other people aware about having a Allergy to something. Not for stealing someone's food, but at least for Cross Contamination prevention.
The original poster in that first story needs to take everything to HR if not baby to get the news involved make a paper trail and take this shit to court because in all honesty their boss's daughter had no business eating and they're going to get blamed for that happening they may as well go sportsturf especially since everybody's turning against them in their workplace and just take their friends offer
Story 1: Boss should not have approached OP. He had a conflict of interest. It should have been handed off to HR, as it was theft of someone's food and should have been terminated. If I bring food for myself, I don't expect another to eat it. If they get hurt in the act of stealing, it is their own fault!
NTA. It is wrong to steal other peoples food, no matter what. But also if she had such a severe allergy to something, why would she take that chance? I would take your friend up on the offer of a different job and report your boss to HR immediately.
I had a boss who liked to travel. He sometimes went to countries where street urchins constantly bothered tourists and some even pick-pocketed. So he picks out the first kid to approach him, and tells the kid, "Here is $$, if you keep the others away from me and my family, I will give you (this much $$) every day. It works like a charm and saved him from being robbed and other bothers many a time.
Story 4: as a Peace Corps volunteer, while riding in public transport, people would ask me to "just give them a car". Keep in mind I was riding PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION just like them, and volunteers weren't allowed to have personal cars. 😆

Last story:Glad op's work forced him to press charges since he was apparently too spineless to. ALWAYS PRESS CHARGES
The Peanut Fiasco story had an update. Short version: daughter didn't eat it (just opened it), didn't use an epi-pen, just went home and took medication. No hospital stay. She was on a restricted diet for medical reasons and stole food at work because it was the only place she wasn't being monitored on her food by her parents. Daughter told him all this herself. OP did go to HR, eventually got an apology from the boss (who was suspended), but quit the job anyway in the end, ended up in a new job w/ longer hours for same pay - meaning overall income increase from the sounds of it.
Dumbest thing I’ve ever heard, that’s like someone stealing a sports car and wrecking for being too fast and blaming the person they stole it from, first story
First story: There are later updates that say that the boss was blowing things way out of proportion. Daughter isn't deathly allergic to peanuts, and didn't need an epipen or the hospital. She did break out in hives and had to take benadryl and head home, but that's it. Boss was fired and daughter was given a talking-to about stealing food.
Cell phone story: This should have ended the second she asked to borrow it: "No." I don't care what job you have, nobody gets to just borrow your cellphone nowadays, and you don't owe any explanation.
Last story. Had OP launched out of his seat and forcefully removed the phone from Karen (perhaps in the process bending a few fingers back), she might not have gotten in so much trouble.
A close friend of mine works for a government contractor with security clearance. If you have a job like that you do not want to get on the wrong side of the law. You will lose your very well paid job if you have a hint of a criminal record. So violence is out of the question.
Stories 4 and 5 had me groaning. For story 4, the Chinese mother had the audacity to say "You're a foreigner, you can get another phone." I am not sure if the OP is American, but I will say a lot of people actually can't afford nice things, especially the latest iPhones, and the OP is a teacher and they don't get paid much in the USA. Story 5, I can't believe that the mom stole the OP's phone in front of her kids and had to do jail time for it, which I actually admit was probably a wake up call for the kids because if their mom had done it before and got away with it, then they would be screwed later in life.
I take my own tartare sauce to cafes/restaurants when I go out....they only have those no good little sachets on the table. No-one has ever tried taking my tartare sauce from me, they wouldn't dare lol!
Story one reminds me of a what a friend of mine taught me : "know what the ingredients that goes inside your body". It means whatever you consume or use you must know and understand or ask a specialist before it goes inside your body weather it's medication or food because it could disrespect ones choice, injure or even unalive you. The safest food is what you brought because you know what's inside so you don't have to worry. Food that isn't yours may contain what you couldn't eat unless you asked the maker.

1) What a totally shit boss to condone his daughter's theft, and for him to harass OP about this. This does need to be reported to HR. 2) So much crazy entitlement on the part of the GF and crazy mom, wow. It's good they got locked up for this and Op got his car back before they damaged it. 3) OMG what an AH, his poor wife. 4) It's fortunate that that was a good cop who handled this well and that entitled mother did not get her way. 5) Glad her bad behaviour will get her consequences.
I’m sorry, but what in the world is wrong with snatching that phone right back out of that woman’s hand? Somebody smacking my property I’m taking it back immediately.
In theory? Nothing. But with how much drama there has been these past few years, I don't remember if the OP said they were a man, but especially in that case, they didn't want to make a scene that would five the karen ammo to fight back. And in this particular situation, it is my understanding that the op knew that they were in a government building with a police station, so why even bother complicating the situation for yourself when it can be dealt with in a few minutes
@@docomega7862 ripping it back out of her hands may actually stop her spoiled brat behavior without having a kid’s mom arrested in front of him. By waiting on police he took up time and money from the cops/tax payers. Time the cops could be using to help someone else, money to house the crazy woman in jail, time and money on court and public defenders if needed, time and money the DA could use for other criminals too. Treating these idiots like the spoiled toddlers they are will embarrass them more without the cops being called and his company spending their money prosecuting these people too. I’m all for pressing charges if it comes to it. But taking back his phone with extremely secret info, I think would make more sense. But I hope her jail time taught her something
First story: Definitely NTA, but I did find it quite strange that there was no mention of OP actually putting her name on her lunch containers. Last story: why would it be surprising that a high corporate lawyer would know how to use "Karen"? Pretty sure almost every lawyer has had to deal with quite a few of those types during their career, some likely every day.
To be fair, this is (presumably) a building full of adults. People are fully capable of looking into a fridge and recognizing which containers belong to them and which don't. Why would you feel you have to write your name on your lunch like you're in a preschool? Edit: Also, lunch thieves know they are lunch thieves. They're gonna take what they want, name or no name.

Story 1: “ at the same time I could have killed his daughter” no you couldn’t have. She could have killed her self. You shouldn’t take other peoples food period! Especially if you have food allergies
10:12 I would have thought it a bit funnier, if Roy wished to stay, he'd have to pay a comp-up for the messy breakfast, the buslady's uniform, and cleaning up afterwards. All before he had his meal ordered, just to show he had some humility and obligation. That would have also been a really for me.
For the first story I would document all of it, report to HR and sue for harassment. Forget waiting to be fired or anything else, you are already being harassed.
Story 1 "How dare you have food you like, in case someone stealing your food is allergic to it!?" OP should take the job offer, document the harassment and report the it (ie have a lawyer send a letter to the company after OP is gone).
Story 1, NTA. I'd love for that manager to try to explain to HR how OP tried to kill his daughter when she stole his lunch with zero knowledge of what was in there and OP had zero knowledge of who was stealing it. Or even better, if I manager tried to file a civil case against OP over it. Any judge would have to throw that one out the window.
Last Story: Industrial espionage is pretty serious actually. It can range from criminal to felony level charges and often means prison time along with major fines. This isn't something that's taken lightly.

I would give a f* if I would go to school and want some peanutbutter bread! They can't dictate what I'm allowed to eat and what not! And if a food thief thinks he is "smart" by stealing sth he is allergic to, I just say: tough luck, that's natural selection.

Underrated comment ^
And people still say American tourists are the worst.
@@flyboy6392 they are even if chinese will give them run for their money.
HOW DO YOU KNOW?????
Every time I hear these kind of entitled stories, I feel sorriest for the people who have to live with the consequences of the Karen's actions. Like the last story, her son and husband (presumably has) have to take the financial hit for what she did. They never take into consideration who their actions will hurt cause they're so selfish.
Plus you can tell that she’s done this before but she definitely won’t be able to do it again.
Last story... AHAHAHAHAHAH! Oh that is amazing, that Karen f'd around and found out!
5:28 that was a wild ride but I seen that coming but the condom wrapper was like how f***n stupid are you to leave that in your BOYFRIENDS CAR!?
I still can't wrap my head around 'borrowed' lunch - and I don't want to know how they think it will be returned. And if you're that allergic you have to an epi pen WTF?
Story 1 had an update.
Boss apologized to OP because he was stressed. The Person who ate the food did it because she was strictly watched in what she ate. Op did went to HR about it and is also gonna end up quitting due to this situation.
She should sue because of the hostile work environment causing them to quit because a dumbass ate their food and got hospitalized after knowing what was in it
@TheDevilOfDallas Yeah seriously
I can understand the momentary stress of the boss, watching his daughter nearly die, so the initial outburst is forgivable. (If asked for)
However, continued threats aren't.
To the lady who stole the phone: Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
The answer to the boss’s accusations is “so you admit your daughter stole my food”.
The Karen in the last story played a stupid game and got a serious prize!😂
She lost her car because it was impounded, then she lost her freedom because she was impounded for 5-10 years lol.
Not only extortion, but also he admitted on enabling theft.
@@Maninawig If the OP feared retaliation by the boss for refusing to pay then it is extortion.
@@Some_Guy6 Perhaps he was the thief since why else would his daughter be unaffected by the other thefts and only this time he shared it with her.
That pepper guy needs some serious anger management.
Story 4: Avent Children is great, and OP is a freaking legend! I am certain that woman will think twice before trying is crap again. Honestly I wouldve loved if the officer agreed to let OP hit her if she doubled down on the lie. This is my new favorite story
If they sue you just counter-sue them for the price of the Tupperware and peanut noodles. The judge will love to entertain that.
I enjoy pepper... but I don't think I enjoy it that much to scream at strangers
Roy... needs to be under house arrest for the simple reason that he can't be trusted in public. Like, at all.
She went from no car, 'cause it's impounded, to no freedom, 'cause she's impounded, in all but name
Story 4 is so badass. "This your tablet? Alright unlock it right now or I'll punch you, right here, right now" goddam what a way to scare them
As a mexican i feel disgusted by the way those shop owners and the bus driver treated Fluff and his friends, not everyone is an asshole but of course there are exceptions like them
Sure, I'll loan my phone that I spent money on to some random person I don't know and hope that nothing goes horribly wrong.
Story 3: Darkfluff, what about the waitress? Lady was just doing her job and got assaulted even after warning Roy to move.
Hopefully the wad of cash covered the wasted food, broken dishes, and dry cleaning.
The thief daughter should be fired. He should take them to court if they try to charge him for her bad decisions.
I'm 65 and I use the term Karen. Of course over half my work experience was in customer service so I know what a pain in the ass customers can be
Me too
Maybe Roy is a time traveler. Maybe he was overwhelmed by this gratuitous display of spice. 😂😂
Story 1 : I don't think boss knows he admiddet theft, did nothing about it and tried to blame the victim and more. He could get in serious trouble.
If somebody just swipes my property out of my hands, im not gonna be polite. "Sharing" implies the owner is willing, not forcibly taking it.
I loved Final Fantasy Advent Children, It's my favorite Final fantasy film.
S1:Go the legal route with that first one. The company is being comically stupid. Start documenting and you'll have a settlement in no time
S2:I'm way more impressed the ex GF stole her mom!
Last story:Glad op's work forced him to press charges since he was apparently too spineless to. ALWAYS PRESS CHARGES
Thank you. I was saying the same thing.
I don’t like spineless people because they encourage the behavior these entitled karens.
20:31 the lawyer that has dealt with Karen and if it works the sweet revenge.
Fourth story: If that happens to me I wouldn't even ask, broken bones to protect company secrets.
In the last story the OP told the Karen *EXACTLY* what would happen if she didn't return his work phone.
The first story: you play Russian Roulette, you’re bound to get the bullet. Don’t steal others lunches if you have a food allergy
What above said. Work for government, he'd be in the right up until he forcibly took it back rather than follow SOP and report the theft.
No-one has ever tried taking my tartare sauce from me, they wouldn't dare lol!
story 1: if I was OP I'd be like "oh, so that's why nothing has been done about people stealing my food, you've been taken it yourself!"
"The wages of sin is death". In story one almost literally. Bringing food costs money. Taking it is theft.
I can't wait till I work so I can deal with this lol
Tony: You're NOT going to take MY Pepper!!! (then activates his nanotech Iron Man suit)... Come on! I DARE YOU!!!
I've been subscribed for over a year now. Tried a couple other Entitled People channels, no comparison. Dark Fluff and Stevo are head and shoulders above the rest. You guys rule!
Story 1: It's very Hypocritical of someone to steal something and then get mad at the person they stole from because they're allergic to the thing they stole
(also, The Boss is super Nepotistic since he is trying to paint OP in a Bad light but not his' Thieving Daughter)
How does one "Borrow" someone's lunch? There is only two ways to return a eaten lunch.
DarkFluff if I had to shake my head too hard because of crazy things entitled people have done, my head would have fallen off years ago. 🤣🤣🤣
Last story - Sensational
Always press charges. Always, always, always.
Story 3: Tbh if I was the restaurant owner, I would've let the wife stay and still made Roy leave XD
Roy's wife should've smacked him when he made the server drop her plates.
My family is so in to dark fluff lol. If I have any type of appointment, go into a store, have to drive anywhere, or they just get bored, all I hear is can I listen to dark fluff. Even daddy will stop and listen, comment on the stories. Don't ever stop doing this please?
How do you 'borrow' someone's lunch?
Story 1
"How dare you have food you like, in case someone stealing your food is allergic to it!?"
OP should take the job offer, document the harassment and report the it (ie have a lawyer send a letter to the company after OP is gone).
Darkfluff missed an opportunity in the 2 story. He should have said The girlfriend has no freedom because she's impounded 🤣
And here I don't know which is scarier, OP #4 threat to bash Karen's face in or OP #5 company lawyer sue Karen for "industrial espionage".
You can buy a pepper grinder full of peppercorns in the grocery store spice aisle for a few bucks. That dude needs some anger management and a visit to to grocery store for some blinking pepper.
Or a wig-splitting
It's because of kids stealing others lunch some schools are banning peanut butter sandwiches. Don't take others stuff food or not
I would give a f* if I would go to school and want some peanutbutter bread! They can't dictate what I'm allowed to eat and what not! And if a food thief thinks he is "smart" by stealing sth he is allergic to, I just say: tough luck, that's natural selection.
S1: Food thief? Carolina Reapers and ex-lax in the "dessert"... Go over bosses head to HR (if the place you work has an HR department). Your boss is WAY out of line. Wonder if his admission to taking your food can be used to file petty theft charges... You bear NO blame or guilt for his thief daughter's actions
S2: Yeah, I'd have dumped her and pressed charges too
S3: Fork, meet peppermill-theif's hand.
S4: "Your mommy is trying to be a thief, don't be like your mom kid." I'd have blasted her, letting the kid learn some "interesting" new English words....
S5: "No, I'm using MY phone for business. Entertaining your crotch-spawn is your problem." That's theft, grand theft if it's an expensive model. "Please" NOTHING! So glad your company ripped her a new one. She deserved it.
Story #1: OP is NTA here. It is the food thief who is responsible for her own actions. Uh, stealing is a CRIME. In this case it would seem that the food thief punished herself.
Story 5 I would had taken the phone back by force
