I have found that no sacks drop from anything other than paste bait - it might be why it says guaranteed on it. Believe me when I tell you I have used - worms - fish fillet ( fish makes bait) - and shrimps, I have received no sacks when using these items.
You can buy the battle pass and or anything in game with just playing the game. Sure you can swipe but atleast you can get the battle pass by selling stuff and buying it. P2W maybe we have been conditioned really. As much as it sucks its a lot better than Black Desert.
Now hold on a goddamn minute, maybe the p2w is less than BDO but everything in BDO is miles ahead of TnL. You can own a ship and sail the ocean in BDO, can you do that in TnL? The Combat in BDO is also superior. And for the videos sake, Fishing is way better in BDO than in TnL. TnL is only popular "now" because it's new, eventually it will be like Lost Ark is now, on its deathbed 😂
So the trait unlockstones are one of the rarest currencies in the game, and you get them most often from fishing and silver key portals, and silver key portals also fairly often drop the epic quality fishing rod.
It's good to cook the +fishing bonus food for fishing, speeds up leveling. The only 2 differences for fishing are saltwater vs. freshwater so far. Not sure if fishing level itself increases reward quality, but there are different baits that do skew it. I agree, more fish or just rewards in general would be great, I also wouldn't mind making it more dynamic like rotating hotspots etc. so that we get to explore and not just sit in the same place for eternity. New World has an amazing fishing (and just gathering in general) system!
Just saw your video - I’m on console and you can Key bind up and down on the controlller to just select your next party member which lets you lock onto them - imagine there’s a similar option to enable on pc
Yo I forgot about that. Been trying to make things a little easier with targeting party members with my heals (running a bow/dagger, so not a full healer.) I've been having to deselect an try like hell to target a fleeing fellow squishy who needs health. Thank you!
Lvl 11 expedition unlocks daybreak shore or something in the stoneguard area, which can drop the best fishing rod from the blue sack

There's a setting to target friendly targets
Wand and longbow for heals, Mouse over to target is a good setting also

I get around 5 per lvl 50 dungeon
you can craft them .. but you need a boss stone from each boss. Go to accessories vendor and craft trait unlockstone pouch, you get 3 - 5 per craft.

had you used rye food it would have boosted your fish bonus by 15%. I got the platinum fishing rod from mystic portals.

You can get the salt from the starshop without paying…just with the free pass
