Clamp found a way to outsmart censorship, adding this couple as BFFs, and focusing more in the relationship between Li and Sakura because they are the main characters. But if you read between the lines, is not hard to notice Touya and Yukito are a couple. Sakura Cardcaptor is waaaaay ahead it's time, and gender don't really matter in the love stories there. Yue had a platonic/unrequited love for Clow Reed, Li had a crush in Yukito (later is explained why), Yukito and Touya are a confirmed couple since the beginning of the series (in the manga its more explicit). Anyway, it's worthy watching this anime, it's beautiful, I'm sure you won't regret it.
