Thank you for the review!! 40 years old never welded a day in my life and I'm sick of asking people to weld stuff. Ordered one of these on Amazon for $80 yesterday. What rod(s) did you use??
I found a very similar high quality welder like this different name on Amazon less than 80$ lots of amazing reviews I'm thinking of getting one along with tge helmet and rods needed because I need my rockers on this used jeep I got because there's no patching with how rusted out the panels are im jw are you supposed to put the ground clamp on your workpiece or just any piece of steel or metal?
@SHERMAN YOUNG worth every penny, I got this cause all the reviews says its lightweight and portable, selling point is dual voltage, works amazing on 110 or 220, not as hot on 110 but you could get the job done, only had chance to try it out for a little bit, but from what I can see allready it's going be nice
As long as the lens is made from glass, which all auto-darkening lenses are, it will protect you from the harmful parts of arc rays, even if it doesn't darken. You'll see spots for a bit if you get flashed, but it won't cause permanent damage.
Now I understand what people mean when they tell you to strike the welding rod like a match. On the old school buzz boxes it makes sense but on the newer machines with hot start it makes a lot less sense.
Good advice on sunglasses 😎. I hook up to truck and have few people jump on see the welds hold
haha

it looks like a 6011 the welder on amazon should say what rods it can handle and what size rods
I am using my go to rod. 7014 1/8 inch.
FYI - The Darkest Number of Welding Lense - The Best Eyesight Protection - Especially - Gold Lens
Thanks.

any connected metal will work as a ground.
Bought this last year, its good. I built a 37lb bench vice out of 3/8" plate.
Nice
Me too
I just picked on up, cant wait to test it out, unhappy with the lack of paperwork, got a fresh box of 6011 rods see how they run then maybe some 7048s

what rod are you using and what was the final amperage?
1/8 inch 7014 . I think around 95 amps. Been so long since I used it, I forget.

Good to know. Thanks.
I thought the piece ground was to be the positive side???
Some do Some don't
Que electrodos usaste? Deque medida?
Usó electrodos de 3/32 pulgadas o 2.4 milímetros.
Measure amps to see if the amps are accurate as advertised with this model with so many welders overblown amps and fake duty cycles.
I think it is all relative
Looks like it’s real difficult to start and re-start
some
stay away from the ZX7 315, bought one , totally useless !
Hook it up to 220v and a 7014 rod it runs like absolute butter.
I will. Thanks for the input

Seem to weld with parkinson ! My god ! Would not like to follow him too close on highway !
Sorry it is a garden trailer.
