Hey amazing videos I’m currently following along to build one for myself! Is the water diverter something you 3D printed? If so where would I be able to get my hands on the 3D file
I love the simplicity, I was looking for the exact idea that would work for me, and this is it. The only thing I would add is the bucket lid, so dirt and insects won't get in the water that easily. Thank you for these videos!
Hello, I built one of these last year with about the same hole configuration. I lost momentum with the project dealing with my other hydroponic projects. My plan is to get it going soon. I see you are using lettuce. Any thoughts on other plants that will do well, and did you have any issues with root congestion with that spacing configuration?
Do you have the total cost for this unit available or am approximate amount? Looks like a great system you've put together, one that I can do. Many thanks.
I built one of these but I printed the entire tower instead of the pvc pipe. I spent around $40 on filament, $15 on the pump, $6 for the bucket and $10 for some rock wool cubes. I have mine growing in the house the grow lights were another $100. I printed mine off of Thingiverse.
Went through Lot of diy techniques but this was Awesome 👍🏻 how was the yield? Did it work well..!!
It worked extremely, The key is to stagger the planting so its not all ready at the same time
As someone who's used every non DIY grow tower, the coolest things I like about your build ARE THE COLORS. So cool man!
What grow lights are you using ? I see strip/rods leds
led strips, got them on amazon
Is there a BPA free alternative pipe?
PVC does not have BPA and the plastic parts are made from beet extracts

That's a great idea!
Is there a way to seal the bucket? Vegas heat will munch the water really quick.
You can cut a lid for it

ive done lettuce and a few other small plants, ive had no issues with root clogging
Spray paint and 3D Printer plastic doesn't seem food safe...
For one the paint does not touch the water, and you aren't eating the plastic, 2 pla+ is food safe along with many other types of filament.
