Hey! until very recently I thought it was one of the LA studio bass cats then when I was reading the sleeve notes - VOILA! Sans bassist I had a QX1, it was the beginning of my hair problems. If I remember right, Nik's guitar was a custom build by Dave Gladden from Wivenhoe in Essex. He built his next one too, more of a symmetrical Les Paul DC stylee
That's the intentional feel of the tune - with the drums slightly behind the beat (like some old school funk music especially P-Funk). It's exactly the same on this live version filmed a few months later: th-cam.com/video/3_eqA2SxZGs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=FE4XqIwHjjWAZLys&t=957
Great song, love Niks Hair here too! 💖
Loved this album. Saw Nick tour it in '87 (supported by T'pau). Great drums and percussion.
Thanks for sharing this
Radio Musicola was a great and very underrated album. The bass synth sequencing was brilliant ! Yamaha QX1 for the synth geeks 😊

great song live taken from a great album on same name !!!!
from his "troubled third album"
RM hands down my favourite of his commercial releases trio of HR/TR/RM before he would get so great with TW
who knows how it would've turned out if he didn't take his time to improve it. maybe more successful but quality-wise worse?
@@thekershfan very true
Radio Musicola was a fantastic album , great songs, fantastic synth and sequencer programming. An overlooked classic worth checking out 🎹
Drums are a bit back, usually ahead tho.
