Saw a comment in the video that you added Frenzy banner to your big block of Warriors, note that units in Marching columns can declare charges & if you're frenzy that means you must declare. pg 119 "Who Can Charge". Since the Impossible Charge section covers what would apply to that A. outside maximum possible charge B. obstructions C. intervening units (as long as that unit can not charge per the italics) There's also another example of declaring charges that will automatically fail which makes it more likely that Marching Column frenzy units will still stumble forward would be on the FAQ. Explicitly you can declare charges at maximum range, but due to terrain & -1 move you can declare a charge that you will fail. ^ something to be mindful of and double check with TO/event organizer for the ruling on before relying on marching column to block frenzy :/
I still have yet to play but watching battle reports it seems like skirmishing is very important, which think is so good for the game. Enjoying the tourny recap!
Gladly. I don't recall all the magic items other than the Poison attacks on the priest in the archer unit, but it was basically this; King/Prince on chariot Priest on dragon Priest with poison 20ish archers 2x5 horse archers 3x chariots 3x necro knights 2 scorpions Necrosphinx
Thanks for taking the time, epic report - is the player pack somewhere for us to look at? I don't really understand the scoring system you were talking about
The scoring system works like this. If a given army is 2k, then the maximum points you can get of it is. 2k, plus King is dead (+100 vp) banners and Bsb's. and secondaries which usually came out to another 500. So the max you could get was around 26-2700 vp's. After round 1, you were matched against an opponent of similar vp's. Highest vp's at the end of 5 games wins. The idea here was that instead of playing points denial lists, or gunlines where you were unlikely to get the points for the unit if you didnt kill it almost to a man your whole goal was to rip your opponent to bloody chunks and not have to worry about how many points you kept alive. if both people managed to kill everything? They both would advance much higher then 2 people playing "pry me out of my corner". I do not recommend this style of tournament as an all the time thing. But its fun occasionally to just load up your chaos lord on dragon and see how much damage you can do before you go down in a blaze of glory.
@squarehammer9349 - RAW - I take it you dont agree with the ruling of only one Magic missile per wizard per turn - due to MMs being a shooting attack and you can only shoot once per turn. i dont think its the intention but RAW is one MM per wizard per turn
Kinda thin for terrain. How about more los blocking stuff like a forest or hill in the area of play? Weak when its nearly all inconsequential on the sides or deployment area
TOW rules say no terrain within 9"of the center. We followed the rules for terrain placement. In addition, people move stuff to the edges when setting up armies and displays between rounds. If you get to a table and the terrain is all on the edges you and your opponent would be responsible to fix it. Pictures where given of each set up to avoid any confusion. I think most people were just happy to play!
I agree on terrain. Some of the tables were pretty light, but they did follow the book with no terrain towards the center as poxious said. I do think some LoS blocking in the center should be on a couple tables
@@poxous3854 it's 12". Btw it's obvious that this is because of special sceneries. GW wants you let room for them. A 24" hole in the middle with no sceneries at all makes no sense imho
I am not a fan of the attrition points system. Alex prefers this and gives a bonus points to add to the attrition for completing the mission, black dragon miniatures does a 50/50 split, half of the points for completing mission and half towards attrition, this is better. I prefer scoring on the winning and only in some scenarios, a third of the points are from attrition. Before designing any ToW scenarios I need to get some games in to get the feel of ToW.
Holy smokes thats a lot of dragon ogres! Why did you say your list was unfun to play against? Is it because of all the magic? I feel like melee builds such as this are much more fun to play against than Wood elves or Dwarfs, or empire
Yeah I doubt that anyone will ever enjoying playing vs a ton of single model entities in general. Let's see what GW will do in terms of balancing, but I hope the community will be able to agree on certain FAQs errata in case they don't.

Holy crap, that TK army was lovely.
Really was
Awesome battle report

Skirmishers are very strong now. They can do some serious shenanigans
The gifts of chaos are unique and cannot be repeated like in the second chaos list where two heroes carry the enchanting aura.
Yeup! I didn't notice it until I was adding his list to the video haha
Hey Blue, thanks for the great battle reps. Any chance you were able to get a write up of the TK list?

Gladly. Yeah if you Google Brawler Bash 2024 I believe the event will pop up

how can you play the chaos dogs in that formation? the last one seems not right
If you don't let people rub your bald head for good luck I'm giving you a bad sportsmanship score.
😂
Nice bat reps

Don't think that's RAW since it says it says if the wizard knows any, that they may cast them - seems plural

How did the dragon ogre champions do?
Great. They challenged a couple times to not die from combat and held the line
How did you have 6 Dragon Ogre's? I thought most competitive events had the rule of 3. @@squarehammer9349

Like for Tzeentch and allies in the roster!😀👍
Lol that beastmen army…….

It's very gamey. Use the hounds and Drogres to move/charge block everything to allow more turns for the Magic Missile platform to blast away anything

@@ThePaintedHope agreed. The 0-3 comp will be a big help there
But the 0-3 IS a GW comp.
Really think they need to cap units, like minimum 3 dragon ogres in a unit. This just seems like a very cheesey list.
