There is balance to all of this...The Bible also says to support ministers of Christ.......We all want a certain amount of wealth, how much is TOO much for a minister? Is it wrong for a minister to have a jet? Is it wrong for you or I to have new cars, an in the ground pool, new furniture, and a large house? BALANCE can be tricky when it comes to ministers, and to ALL of us, but I do wish some would REDUCE their wealth....Recently one minister(last name Chan) who is on youtube,, gave up his MEGA Church and REDUCED his lifestyle intentionally.......

He was unrepentant & Paul had him JUDGED and put out of the church. However, once he repented, Paul told the church to bring him back and restore him gently and watch themselves lest they be tempted also. There ya have it. We heard a couple of preachers and listened to a bit of music all well in good.However, when it was time for Kenneth Copeland to preach he was delivered to the front of the stage in a limosine walked up on stage talked long as usual then climbed back in the limo and was hauled off. We the people were told to stay put so that the Kentucky fried chicken buckets could be passed around for the cash flow to begin, no I did'nt give anything. We were told to stay but not Copeland he was too good to hang around at his own preaching event so he left. I am so done with these "Clowns.

I beg to differ about his saying we can't talk to God on commercial flights..... The few times I've flown, I did nothing but talk to God the whole way to and from the whole time. I prayed for Jesus to hold the plane together because in Him all things consist, to bless the pilots and flight crew and get us safely to our destination and back home safely again. Once, on the way back from O'Hare in Chicago, we were at the hub in TN and there was the announcement that there was another delay for us for our plane to be de-iced once again because of a former delay. The waiting room erupted in grumblings and I said, out loud, "That's all right. Take all the time you need to get all that ice off the plane because I want us to get safely to our destinations. And I asked God to please let the crew who is de-icing the planes to let them do an outstanding job of it and to bless them all for taking that care. I didn't ask that out loud and we were all fine, thanks to God. We had landed at O'Hare in a snowstorm, the airport had just re-opened to air traffic and when the wheels hit the runway, the plane did a little sidestep skid. I think I left claw marks in the arm rest right then, but hung onto God with all my heart. The most ironic thing about my flying is, for most of my life, I've been married to a pilot!!! Chopper pilot and he flew for a little over 52 years and lived to retire. I prayed a lot for him, as well, but he did, as well.

What a shame people believe they are somehow going to get Gods attention or blessing by handing money to these pastors. It's almost like these two have to do the one up a better story of what God tells them about getting more money and things. And telling a person go to hell seems both unethical, and confrontational to avoid the truth. Him saying go to hell was not him telling him to go to hell. The person who he was talking to said that he didn't believe in faith, the bible says that we are saved through faith. If you do not believe in faith then your destination is already hell. Him saying go to hell then was a warning not a command.

I listen to a priest who drives a Prius. He's hard working and has many responsibilities within the archeparchy (Eastern Catholic equivalent to an archdiocese). He probably flies coach when he has to go out of town.
Isn't it so much better to hear how God wants us all poor,broke,living in poverty unable to help others and sick all the time.Who would believe a silly message about how much God loves us and wants to see us fulfill the great commission.I feel so much better when they pass the offering plate and I have nothing to contribute then I don't have to feel guilty for not tithing, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, caring for the homeless or providing for the sick. I like it even better when I wake up on Sunday morning and realize that my gas tank is empty, then I can go back to sleep until the football games come on. Since I don't have gas money, I get to skip Church and watch football. I know then the Lord has really blessed me because I have an excuse for not going out in the community to do all this volunteer work for those in need. I love guilt free me time.

Where does the Bible say Christians must give to TV Preachers? What does it mean to preach without cloak or PURSE. 153 times Christ tells the disciples to help the poor, nothing about building huge edifices and absolute nothing about tithing an Old Testament idea to benefit the Levites and the Priests in the temple, which is restricted to crop, and livestock. Yes Virginia they had money, tithing was just about what was mined, or grown.

I beg to differ about his saying we can't talk to God on commercial flights..... The few times I've flown, I did nothing but talk to God the whole way to and from the whole time. I prayed for Jesus to hold the plane together because in Him all things consist, to bless the pilots and flight crew and get us safely to our destination and back home safely again. Once, on the way back from O'Hare in Chicago, we were at the hub in TN and there was the announcement that there was another delay for us for our plane to be de-iced once again because of a former delay. The waiting room erupted in grumblings and I said, out loud, "That's all right. Take all the time you need to get all that ice off the plane because I want us to get safely to our destinations. And I asked God to please let the crew who is de-icing the planes to let them do an outstanding job of it and to bless them all for taking that care. I didn't ask that out loud and we were all fine, thanks to God. We had landed at O'Hare in a snowstorm, the airport had just re-opened to air traffic and when the wheels hit the runway, the plane did a little sidestep skid. I think I left claw marks in the arm rest right then, but hung onto God with all my heart. The most ironic thing about my flying is, for most of my life, I've been married to a pilot!!! Chopper pilot and he flew for a little over 52 years and lived to retire. I prayed a lot for him, as well, but he did, as well.

What a shame people believe they are somehow going to get Gods attention or blessing by handing money to these pastors. It's almost like these two have to do the one up a better story of what God tells them about getting more money and things. And telling a person go to hell seems both unethical, and confrontational to avoid the truth. They both spend too much time defending their possessions and actions more than preaching the true gospel. The damage is done, but one day the televangelist empires will fall away.

Him saying go to hell was not him telling him to go to hell. The person who he was talking to said that he didn't believe in faith, the bible says that we are saved through faith. If you do not believe in faith then your destination is already hell. Him saying go to hell then was a warning not a command.

I listen to a priest who drives a Prius. He's hard working and has many responsibilities within the archeparchy (Eastern Catholic equivalent to an archdiocese). He probably flies coach when he has to go out of town.

Isn't it so much better to hear how God wants us all poor,broke,living in poverty unable to help others and sick all the time.Who would believe a silly message about how much God loves us and wants to see us fulfill the great commission.I feel so much better when they pass the offering plate and I have nothing to contribute then I don't have to feel guilty for not tithing, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, caring for the homeless or providing for the sick. I like it even better when I wake up on Sunday morning and realize that my gas tank is empty, then I can go back to sleep until the football games come on. Since I don't have gas money, I get to skip Church and watch football. I know then the Lord has really blessed me because I have an excuse for not going out in the community to do all this volunteer work for those in need. I love guilt free me time.

No Godly Preacher is going to beg for money, however begging and offering you the opportunity to give are two different things. Offering is Biblical,begging is not. What does it mean to preach without cloak or PURSE. 153 times Christ tells the disciples to help the poor, nothing about building huge edifices and absolute nothing about tithing an Old Testament idea to benefit the Levites and the Priests in the temple, which is restricted to crop, and livestock. Yes Virginia they had money, tithing was just about what was mined, or grown.
