I really appreciate the efforts of people like you who expose the error in so many churches today. I used to listen to many preachers on TV because I can't get out to church because of many orthopedic problems earned in my line of work. I'll admit, I used to listen to Creflo Dollar. But, like many other TV preachers, he has come on to my "do not watch" list. The "do watch" list is now down to about 4 or 5. I know that apostasy was prophicied, but it's so frustrating not feeling like I can find enough sources for the word today. Thank you.

John 14 is about the disciples asking Jesus to show them the Father, not about them wanting to perform supernatural miracles the way He does. Jesus doesn't expressly say that His believers won't be able to perform supernatural miracles, but He doesn't say they will, either. He says they will do "greater things" than He did, which could mean miracles, or it could mean directly preaching & ministering to even more people than Jesus was able to during his 3 year ministry on Earth. Because Jesus' aim was always to reconcile as many sinners to God as possible, and the sharing of His gospel by the believers He was speaking directly to in that chapter would lead millions to salvation. Moreover, John 14:13-14 specifically says that Jesus will do what his believers ask for in His name, NOT that He's giving us supernatural power to do it ourselves. Dollar is specifically saying in your quote that we need to do it ourselves, and that is in direct contradiction to Jesus' own words in the passage you reference.

You have some very valid points on theology, but when you mock someone over their manner of speaking, you cross over into matters of taste and culture. The average black church in the US is very culturally different than the average white church. I'm white but from the South and feel more at home with some black churches after moving north because white Southern churches are in themselves a different breed.

As I sat in church this morning I thought what a difference between our pastors message compared to the message this clowns gave.
You have some very valid points on theology, but when you mock someone over their manner of speaking, you cross over into matters of taste and culture. It takes credibility from any truth you may be speaking and makes the argument look petty and condescending. The average black church in the US is very culturally different than the average white church. I'm white but from the South and feel more at home with some black churches after moving north because white Southern churches are in themselves a different breed.
Respectfully, if a pastor who is clearly perverting the gospel to con his parishioners out of money for his own personal gain is deliberately speaking in a dialect & vernacular tailored specifically to make him relatable to his target audience, those speech patterns are part of his criminal enterprise, and are thus fair game for both spotlighting & ridiculing. There is no facet of Creflo's performance which isn't carefully calculated to manipulate his audience, including his manner of speaking. If it's fair to mock Paula White for her shrill, spastic "HOSANA!" shrieking (and it is, because that's a calculated part of her con) or Kenneth Copeland for his impromptu "speaking in tongues" when he's lost his train of thought (ditto), it's fair to take Dollar to task for his way of addressing his victims.

May God forgive you for talking against Creflo Dollar. I've been reading the Bible for over 50 years, and I don't see, or hear, the things you see, and hear, when he preaches. You have your High Minded opinions of people, and I think that what the problem is, is that you are just too jealous, or Self-righteous. I have a problem with being self-righteousness. You nit-pick like I sometimes do, not recognizing the beam in my own eye. He's not perfect, he misses things too, just like we all do. I've heard him change his position on things. Correcting the way he used to preach when he thought differently. Then God straightened him out, here and there. Btw, he was making big money before he became a minister, he had money when he got into it. And I don't believe he takes a salary now. God loves him, and prospers him, and he's taking the gospel to the world. If you really care about people, and believe they are believing wrong, then pray for them. We're suppose to build up the church, not tear it down. He's reaching the rich. What kind of a job do you have? You sure you're just not making as much as he is and you're jealous? God loves you too, and you are forgiven too, just like Creflo. May God bless him even more, and you too.
