Guys don't get the opportunity to play this many games without giving people some reason to believe they might get better. Someone with highly-rated-prospect status or at least one tool that seems to have potential to 'break out' once he 'finally puts it all together' might be given more leash, at least on a bad team, in the hopes they'll finally play up to what people expect. I thought Bobby Miller was gonna do well because he throws the ball pretty darn fast and has other nasty pitches! He just didn’t do good at locating the pitches! How do you guys think Bobby Miller will do in 2025?
He's young enough to catch on with a team, but not with the Dodgers. 2024 was the last year of his contract. With the return of Glasnow, Ohtani, May and Kershaw, etc. from the injured list, they should have plenty of starters especially with the signing of Snell, and the availability of Yamamoto. Miller only pitched so much because of the injuries.
@@dannylim3318 The Dodgers aren't getting rid of Miller. He'll start 2025 in AAA with the goal of seeing if Miller can pitch himself back to the majors.
I get that, but his 2024 represents a year of underdevelopment with the Fish, which is why I mentioned the other guys as well to show the pattern overall.
@@madethecut Just admit it was a bad take in regard to Nick Gordon. He was a Twins prospect, he's 28, there's not a lot the Marlins are going to do to develop a 28-year-old 1st round bust.
