I don't think non dancers realise how hard it is to synchronise movements to this extent while standing in a line. Scattered on the stage? Easy to do your own part. It's takes a whole different level of concentration and confidence to do this so well when you're breathing over someone's shoulder. Absolutely mesmerizing.

But like other people already explained, if youre alone you can screw up and its fine. No one but you knows how the dance SHOULD look, so it doesnt really matter. But when you are doing a dance like this, everything has to flow perfectly or people can tell something went wrong.

This group is using motions of their hands/bodies almost step by step of what The Amazing Maya’s used (aka dance routine). They could both been doing this for years without knowing each other and there's definitely more groups doing this dancing style. It's only copied when they use the same dance. Even if they did, in music tons of people cover other people's songs too and nobody ever screams plagiarism there either. So if they did 100% the same dance as the Maya's and mentioned it's not their own choreography then it's okay too.

Not only was this an amazing team effort the selection of dancer for lead of chain was perfect. She barely changes her expressions yet communicates many different feelings. True artist- dance artist- tells the story with their face equal to their body movements. It's just that "it" thing that one has or they don't that differentiates "dancer" and dance artist. 🎉
i'm sure all the girls would also effectively communicate expression, i'm sure they already are. but the tallest of the group needs to be in the front, otherwise it'll screw up the visual effect.

Just wanted to say that this type of dance originated from China in the thousand hand bodhisattva dance inspired by the goddess Guan Yin. The China Disabled people's Performing Art Troup gave a stunning performance that I think more people should appreciate & know about. It’s important to give credit and acknowledge the inspiration, roots & origins of different dance styles
