Lyrics: Tonight you're mine completely You give your love so sweety Tonight the light of love is in your eyes But will you love me tomorrow Is this a lasting treasure Or just a moment's pleasure Can I believe the magic of your sighs Will you still love me tomorrow Tonight with words unspoken You said that I'm the only one But will my heart be broken When the night (when the night) Meets the morning (meets the morning) sun I'll like to know that your love Is love I can be sure of So tell me now and I won't ask again Will you still love me tomorrow Will you still love me tomorrow Will you still love me tomorrow
I grew up on country and I did have and was loved 26 years worth of tomorrow’s since 1994 he passed away six months ago today good strong country love never stop loving each other hard this song Reminds me of him and life past. Peace and love each other
Right, too much overjoyed, and that's a pity.. I've always thought she wasn't a very good singer, but this was far below level.. as well it was for the vocals of Willie.. And I know it was because it wasn't his key, but I think Carole should have been sitting behind her piano and not standing on stage singing next to Willie Nelson.. those two voices don't match at all..
Carole is fantastic. But just listen to Willie.. forever the song is more important than the singer.. he quietens his voice to allow Carole’s unique tone to embrace the soul of the song. Willie’s sensitivity around the lyric makes it so tender. They paired so beautifully.
Agreed - Willie was comfortable enough in his own skin to not try to outshine her....just let her sing and enjoy the spotlight. Entertainers could learn a LOT from Willie...!
I was a lonely teenager looking for those 3 words. Unfortunately the only time I ever heard them was when the door shut! This song, even to this very second, brings the tears and shame. But thank God I did find a beautiful man with a beautiful heart with who I devoted 37 yrs of my life. Until death did we part. But as I said this song still brings tears.
Two gifts given to this planet. Two icons of music. Two of the most incredible talents in recorded history. Bless them for we may never see the likes of these two again.
Had no idea that this unclassified gem existed until about 10 minutes ago... have been a fan of both for a long time... the best thing I have stumbled across musically in the last 5 years... undisputed talents...
Im leaving this comment here so there is something I could re-visit. I imagine after 30years when I turn 60, then I listen or watch or play this kind of song we normally play on a gig set, surely will bring so much memories, and I hope I'll still be with my other half while we play or listen to this song together.
Watching Willie or Carole sing a duet with ANY artist is such a treat. I've been a fan of these two for over 40 years and never knew they did this song together. What national treasurers they both are.
I believe this is one of greatest songs ever written if you grew up before 1970. Today, “going all the way” has become no big deal. I don’t see that as progress. But, I’m just an old guy.
No one compares with these two.. Fabulous Willie lifts me any times he sings. Lost my sweetheart Dan recently, and any of Willie's songs help me cope with my loss. I saw him a few times in RI when he put on a show in Providence, and no one can come near to having his effect on all the fans. Lots of love Willie
Simple music can make you sing, a simple hug can make you feel, better, simple things can make you happy, I hope my simple hello will put a smile on your face..
I will always remember getting off work at Freindly Ice at maybe 10:30 - 11pm during the summer before senior year in high school, and going to this bar in Fayettevillie N.Y.. Yes. I was only 17, but no one ever asked for ID. (it was 18 then). Carol King's "It's too Late" & Rod Stewart's "Maggie May" were always being played on the jukebox! Hanging out with college kids, good music, made me feel like I belonged, in a new town that my Dad had just got transferred to! Summer of 1971!!
Now you know why Neil Sadaka was so love with this lady all the way back in Liberty high school in New York. She is where the song OH Carol came from !.
This present day generation will never come close to the music that was made during this generation and it will last forever I doubt that about the music out there today.
So funny, I so clearly remember my parents saying the exact same thing, as well as about actors. My mom would say that "our" generation's music was a bunch of noise, couldn't understand the lyrics! She liked and occasional Beatles tune i.e.: Michelle, Fool on the Hill!
I agree. If that saying was true we will still be listening to tribal music. There is plenty of music today that will last. I am discovering the 80s now (and I thought the 70s were the best!). Maybe one day I will chatch up! (and I was a teenager in the 80s)
Yea, just heard that the Weeknd and Drake had a big fight over the weekend. Imagine, who cares about donating Kanye's rap-sagging pants to the 3rd world
i can remember my parents saying that our music ( 50's rock and roll) was crap compared to country and western, but this is comparing music to music. i think what we are comparing now is music to poetry to a beat. rap and hip hop isn't music is rhyming to a beat kind of like the beatniks from our generation. it doesn't require a singing voice. you can argue music to music, but not rhyming to singing. most of these guys can't sing.
Loved the Tapestry album and everything Willie touches. Couldn't be more perfect unless the Bee Gees would have sang background and the Eagles followed with Desperado.
Simple music can make you sing, a simple hug can make you feel, better, simple things can make you happy, I hope my simple hello will put a smile on your face..😊
Simple music can make you sing simple hug can make you feel better simple things can make you happy, i hope my simple Hello brings smile to your face ..
I like the fact that Willie clearly loves playing Trigger as much as singing. He's a very jazz influenced Country performer. Music has no boundaries! And we're all the richer for it.
Two amazing artist with to different styles and yet I thought they did this beautifully, so keep the negative thoughts to yourselves all you Willie haters.
This is one of my favorite songs in the world! Carole King is so joyful to be singing with Willie! What would it be like to write a masterpiece like this??
I doubt that Carole imagined this song as being a Willie Nelson rendition. But that is the mark of a great song that it has universal appeal. No doubt this is a great version. Thank you for Carole for great songwriting and doing a great rendition with the great Willie Nelson.
Carole looks so overjoyed to be singing with Willie, I’m overwhelmed with envy. I wish I could sing with such joy-I wish I could sing at all .(By the way, Carole went to the same high school I did-I was ( I think) two years ahead of her and never knew. her-or if I had, who would have thought Carole would become the great singer/songwriter she turned out to be.
I and 2 friends sang this in a talent show Junior high about 1962. I used to be able to mimic several different female singers and we had such a blast. Practicing in the multi purpose room, several cafeteria workers came out to see if The Shirelles had dropped by. So fun!!
Judging by Willie's music (written and chosen) he loved all the women he bedded and many he didn't but maybe wanted to. Loved. The music and the love endures.
Glad to see this collaboration with 2 legends. I gotta say and I've heard it before Carol King's vocals are better than ever as she's getting older. Fantastic.
How nice to be there in person...I've heard Carole holding down local club..missed out on Willie thou' I be meserized by his talent..Will you two sing for us again tomorrow?
Lyrics:
Tonight you're mine completely
You give your love so sweety
Tonight the light of love is in your eyes
But will you love me tomorrow
Is this a lasting treasure
Or just a moment's pleasure
Can I believe the magic of your sighs
Will you still love me tomorrow
Tonight with words unspoken
You said that I'm the only one
But will my heart be broken
When the night (when the night)
Meets the morning (meets the morning) sun
I'll like to know that your love
Is love I can be sure of
So tell me now and I won't ask again
Will you still love me tomorrow
Will you still love me tomorrow
Will you still love me tomorrow
Thirteen yrs old when I heard this one. Still lamenting the one that got away. Anyone else?

No one sounds like Carole King and Willie Nelson. Authentic. One of a kind.
Divine!
Is it a good thing that an old man sits in his living room listening to music and crying?
Craig Anderson
I don't know sir....but this moderately old woman does too!
Crying is ok for anyone. A tear dropped. Is one step to healing!!
Absolutely!
In this case is normal, im too.
Been there done that nothing
Carole seems genuinely excited, thrilled, overjoyed to be doing a duet of her song with Willie Nelson, two incredible songwriters and singers.

Excited you say ? She is more in a trance, just like young girls staring at the Fab 4 in the early 60's.
I have never, ever, seen a singer so happy to be doing a duet with ANYONE. Love Carole King:)
I agree!
Carole king is not only phenomenally talented, she delivers such a happiness when she performs, makes me smile

Willie let the key favor Carol, a real gentleman.
Well it is her song.
Willie should be grateful just singing it with her.
All in all,lovingly done.
Carole King is such a brilliant and compassionate artist who does not crowd Willie when singing this classic. The mark of a true Artist.
Carole is fantastic. But just listen to Willie.. forever the song is more important than the singer.. he quietens his voice to allow Carole’s unique tone to embrace the soul of the song. Willie’s sensitivity around the lyric makes it so tender. They paired so beautifully.

Two musical geniuses just tickled pink to be singing together. Good vibes all around.
Carole King is a GREAT ARTIST on her own, but she is so happy to be on stage with Willie!

Two great singers who, if they had never sang a word, will still be in their respective Hall of Fames based on the songwriting alone. Epic!
