      Hey Hen...I no longer work for Agora, I'm working independently nowadays but I do know that Agora still works for many freelance animators and also other disciplines as well. So if you're interested consider applying.

    Thanks for replying.i do have a question can't you open up a online class were you talk directly to people and it's kinda hard to get contact with you and also u're words of advice are very helpful really but a face to face meeting would be awesome in zoom of course.I think that's it for now at least 😊thanks

    Thank you for this video! It seems that you always are right on mark with answering questions lost animator have! I had no idea Agora worked as an agent! I’ve had family friends ask me to do commission work for them which I’m grateful for but I’d love to do more industry work and I’ve had mentors suggest doing more freelance to get that year experience companies ask for. Do they work with new grads??

    How to find agencies like Agora? I recently learn animation and plan to start freelancing next year

      Hey Warren, you can start with Agora and take it from there. Feel free to get in touch with your reel if you'd like to apply. You need to be good at your craft to make it as they already have lots and lots of talent.

    I’m always watching your videos it’s pretty cool that you’re doing this to help people out. I’m not an animator but I really want to be but idk where and how to start and also I’m 33 lol is it to late for me to become an animator?

    • @laurisveide
      @laurisveide 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's never too late to be an animator! I know people in there late 40s learning how to animate.

    • @harveynewman
      @harveynewman  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks a million for the kind words King. And NOPE it is really never too late as Lauris mentioned. I started my animation journey at 29 and I have done a lot since then. It's more about how much do you want it. Also you should watch this interview I did Tom he started when he was in his 40's and works at Playstation now and having a lot of fun: th-cam.com/video/hGln5c3HeWU/w-d-xo.html

      @@harveynewman that’s freaking awesome and I will definitely watch that video today I honestly do believe this is something that I really want to do this is something that I know I could and will be passionate about because I freaking love anime but I want to do something that I love to do and since I love to watch anime so much I want to actually do something in animation I want to create animation and other things but I know that that’s going to take dedication and a lot of hard work

    Hey Harvey, thanks so much for the vid, I work in other area (game dev) and usually get paid thru paypal, because in my country there are some issues about dollar bank accounts, at least for now, is it very "unprofessional" to get paid thru paypal for more serious clients?, and another thing, what about taxes or receipts (taxes incription in your country), they ask you that so? I mean there are tons of videos of freelancing but NOBODY talks about this things...also I hope Agora will be somehow the future for remote animation solutions, maybe I will contract them in some future depending the rates, Thanks!!

    • @harveynewman
      @harveynewman  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Diego. Paypal is absolutely fine, I find that if the client is after your talent they will comply with your form of payment. Also in regards to taxes that's important as they normally need to have it for their own payroll so having your own company that they can use for tax purposes helps a ton.
      I hope that helps. If you are thinking of joining agora feel free to get in touch with your showreel.
