Sister, I understand what your feeling. I come from a Christian family, and reverted to Islam 20 years ago. Alhamdullillah, Allahu Akbar (All Praise, Thanksgiving to the One who created me). I am thankful and so appreciative of Allah, God, allowing me to choose Islam. I feel that my constant questioning towards my family's faith because as a young kid in Catholic school for Elementary through High school I had things we did in church, outside of Catholic school, I constantly questioned. I was even dubbed "doubting Thomas by one priest because I'd bafflile him with the types of questioned, he couldn't or wouldn't answer. Anyway, praise God (Alhamdullillah), I became Muslim 20 years ago come February 10th & all my doubts as Christian were answered and put to ease. The Quran confirmed my question of why the 10 commandments we are told by God (Allah) in first commandment, God ordered us to worship Him and Only Him. And why did Jesus ( Alayhi Asalam, Peace be upon him, on the eve of his "supposed crucifixion" he went to pray to His Heavenly Father (God), who is also him (whatever), he knelt down and asked, himself?, to spare him from the trial (Crucifixion) and spoke the Our Father prayer. These were some of my questions that were never answered. In 2002 I became Muslim and have not looked back. I will advise you to do your own research and verify what you learned from this video, read & learn, draw your own opinion. This life is all about learning and the truth since this life is a test nothing more nothing less. It's not about what we grew up with or what benefits our Nafs(desires). It's not even about competing in religion since the 3 main religions are all co-related. It's about finding the truth so we can feel at ease in our hearts and to find our purpose in life. I love the fact that non muslims are openminded enough to learn about other religions to know what motivates other people in this society. It is actually quite accurate that the Calendar we follow is a cultural or traditional Calendar, it isn't a christian or religious Calendar we are meant to follow, which is why it doesn't make sense to celebrate christmas on the end of every year

Before I learned the truth when I was a child my parents telling me about Santa clause. As a child you believe what your parents tell you and you really don't believe that your parents will lie to you. When I found out that there was no Santa clause, I was mad at my parents, and I vowed never to deceive my children about a Santa clause again. When I had my children, I was honest with my children that there was no such thing as Santa Clause and I and their father purchased their toys. I told them that they could not share that with other children, because that was up to their parents. Later when I found out about the history of "Christmas" and other European Holidays I stopped celebrating them all together. The Books that educated me where "Afrikan People and European Holidays: A Mental Genocide" books 1&2 by Author Rev. Ishakamusa Barashango and another book that I would suggest to you is "The sixteen crucified Saviors" by author Kersey Graves. These books started me on my journey to finding the truth. Obviously Christmas has been commercialized in the West. It's all about making money. But that doesn't mean we can't celebrate the birth of Jesus in our own lives. The secular world wants to outlaw any remembrance of Christ in the manger with mother Mary and Joseph and the wisemen bearing gifts for Jesus and the family. All those things surrounding His miraculous birth are true but it's up to each individual to recognize it. It's amazing that most Christians don't make research yet claim they are on the right path. Those who do research with sincerity, Allah does not keep them in darkness, away from the truth.

It's not even about competing in religion since the 3 main religions are all co-related. It's about finding the truth so we can feel at ease in our hearts and to find our purpose in life. I love the fact that non muslims are openminded enough to learn about other religions to know what motivates other people in this society. I am a follower of Jesus my savior. As a believer, I am aware Christmas was started believes of our faith. To celebrate our savior's birth. Ax you know it's been capitalized by greedy merchants. . Santa Claus is modeled after a real Russian munk who carved presents for poor children. Not the Santa of today. The evergreen tree represents life. Gifts from the wise men giving gifts to Jesus. . lights the star guiding the wise men. Some beef say alot of Christmas is from pagans to draw them into Christianity. Look I have found memories of childhood till today. And will have more concerning Christmas. .It brings joy. We speak of our savior as to why we celebrate His birth. Don't think our God's up there getting all bent out of shape. Yah some do not celebrate the birth of our savior. That's on them. Still don't take away the gratitude's happiness.

My sister I understand your hurt and being upset to learn the truth about Christmas and how you have been lied to. I felt the same way when I learned the truth myself. Before I learned the truth when I was a child my parents telling me about Santa clause. As a child you believe what your parents tell you and you really don't believe that your parents will lie to you. When I found out that there was no Santa clause, I was mad at my parents, and I vowed never to deceive my children about a Santa clause again. When I had my children, I was honest with my children that there was no such thing as Santa Clause and I and their father purchased their toys. I told them that they could not share that with other children, because that was up to their parents. Later when I found out about the history of "Christmas" and other European Holidays I stopped celebrating them all together.
The Books that educated me where "Afrikan People and European Holidays: A Mental Genocide" books 1&2 by Author Rev. Ishakamusa Barashango and another book that I would suggest to you is "The sixteen crucified Saviors" by author Kersey Graves. These books started me on my journey to finding the truth.

Obviously Christmas has been commercialized in the West. It's all about making money. But that doesn't mean we can't celebrate the birth of Jesus in our own lives. The secular world wants to outlaw any remembrance of Christ in the manger with mother Mary and Joseph and the wisemen bearing gifts for Jesus and the family. All those things surrounding His miraculous birth are true but it's up to each individual to recognize it. The Islamic world must discount all these Christian traditions because they do not recognize Jesus as the Savior who is the only begotten Son of God who was crucified for the sins of the whole world!
