I know Thailand is cheap and the lady who served you certainly doesn’t look like she’s homeless or starving or anything like that but I still don’t get how they can charge so little. She was very diligent and did a great job and I can say that this video has given me a little bit of peace today.
Well, like with their street food, massages are part of daily life in Thailand, so the amount of clients allows for a large structure and lower prices. There are massage schools, and it's a national tradition instead of a luxury.
The critisism aside, you should know that the content you and other high-quality ASMR - artists supply is enormously enriching for people like me who have no chance to visit establishments like these (suffering from sever IBS syndrome so I cannot travel) in person so this is really like opening a window to something I can only dream of experiencing. There’s a massive massage culture in Asia, Buddhist migration sort of moved it to the west but the US is more luxury spa based, you’ll probably find things like this but much more glamorous and expensive
