I used to have ducks when I was a child. We used to have more than 100 ducks. Our chickens hatch the duck's eggs. So when the ducks are one day old, their mother is a chicken. They used to be in a small pool of water. In the early morning, we feed the ducks with rice pegs or darak. After the ducks eat, they just go straight to the river. With them is their mother chicken. In the afternoon, the ducks come home. Again we give them rice pegs.
That is the conventional way of hatching duck eggs. Now there is the incubator to hatch eggs. This is the modern way. You can incubate 100 eggs even more with big incubators. There are small incubators where you can incubate only 30 or less. If eggs are more oval, they are male ducks..if eggs are more circular, they are female ducks. The shape of eggs will tell you the sex.. Rice pegs or darak (Tagalog) yo-yo (Ilocano) is very cheap. You don't need to give commercial feeds. Commercial feeds are expensive. When their time of egg laying, they will lay eggs everyday. They just scatter it in the soil. So pick up eggs every morning.

You dont flush the poo. Let the poo grow plants on soil. The ducks eat flies all the time.
