This looks like a great solution for a missing shutter!
I hope that you will read this, because I actually have a couple of questions:
Isn't the back of your lens bigger in diameter than the shutter opening?
Doesn't that into the 8x10 negativ?
What size is that opening precisely? Do you think it will fit behind a lens with a 140mm diameter?

I wish I could find one of those B&J 8x10 cameras.

Did anyone say "MacGyver" That is an ingenious use of an old Speed Graphic. Definitely not a street photography rig, unless you're shooting from the back of a pickup truck... I would like to se a few images also..

This is so insanely smart. I think the hard part is getting a speed graphic that works well.

Thanks.. Yes, there are plenty on the market without working shutters! (Those are still OK for press cameras)

    Hi Jason.
Can a speed graphic 2x3 mount on any 4x5 camera like u did here? After I watch your video, I want to make it but with a smaller version :)
    Thank you.

I'm sure you could, and it could work well. You'd have about a 3" shutter with some great top speeds for outdoor use. If slower speeds or flash sync were important, an ilex5 would get you to about 2.5".
