pretty sure the answer we are all looking for is no, you cannot add youtube to the list. You’re stuck with the apps you got because apple doesn’t want to be liable for people using youtube on apple carplay. Best bet if you have an iPad is connect that to carplay and play youtube on that.
I don’t think adding any app you like is possible. Mainly because it doesn’t appear as a selectable item. So that’s a bummer since I needed to add the Cobra app so it appears on my dash as opposed to my iPhone.
