The first time I heard this song I was flabbergasted to learn it was the Osmonds. I never thought they could make a rock song like this. I had to go out and buy the record.
The song is actually an indictment of commercial pollution. The 'Crazy Horses' are the massive juggernauts 'puffing' out filth into the atmosphere. They were ahead of many acts, with their environmental awareness.
@@David-sk9vv Got that right. I'm sick of being respected as a form of put down. I told one kid I would take him out if he offered to help me again because of my "age"
I ran across a video on TH-cam that talks about how the Osmonds influenced or were admired by Ozzy, John Bonham, Rick Wakeman and KISS. Pretty amazing. I had the album when I was kid.
I discovered this song and album 2 days via a random TH-cam video. At 60 years old I had NEVER thought THIS song came from THAT group. What a great surprise!
Wayne, who wrote this song, died of a stroke on January1, 2025. People who heard about his passing came to YT to watch the Osmonds, especially this song. That gave this song a big bump in the algorithm, and here we are.
This came out when I was born. I just now heard this song last week from a guitarist guys video. STILL better than 90 percent of music today! Play it every day to get me in a better mood :-)
And how prophetic this was ! Back then this drove my mother crazy cause I played it soooo many times over.... she finally asked what it was all about. We had a nice conversation about pollution etc. I've been a fan since the early Andy Williams days (I miss Andy)... Still am a huge fan.
I was in 6th grade and I loved this song. I loved all theirs, one bad apple etc, and when Crazy Horses came on radio and the DJ said it was the Osmond, I remember thinking how different it was. I remember how much I loved this song, the music, everything, and I thought how this didn’t even sound like the Osmond music that I was use to hearing. But I liked it. These guys could have really made progress with their rock music just as they did with the bubblegum pop music. It’s really a shame how they had spinsters etc telling them they had to play pop. Now days a company would probably get sued for trying to control their style of music. At 11 years of age, I was young, but I sure liked this new Osmond sound. Great bunch of talented guys and I loved them and still do for their decency. Hard to find that in rock music. Crazy Horses rocked in Louisiana am radio stations
I REMEMBER BEING A KID AND WE HAD A STEREO OUT IN THE LIVINGROOM AND MY OLDER SISTER HAD THE OSMOND RECORDS AND MY OLDER BROTHER USE TO SING TO THIS SONG.GOOD TIMES AS A KID
I Love the Osmonds and their music and I have grown up with them and happy I did...it has been a wonderful :^) Rock On I wish I was their sister or wife :D
In my parents house there were stacks of singles bought by my older brothers & sisters over the years. This single was the most scratched, as it got most plays. What a song! Way ahead of its time.
It's what they wanted to do but even the rock stations didn't want to play it when they found out it was the Osmonds, a "boy band." They had a lot of trouble trying to shake that image.
The “Brothers” were before my time. I was in the Donny & Marie era. I’m actually just now realizing how great they are. I researched a little bit about them. It’s very sad that they were not given the respect they deserved as great musicians and songwriters. I think I know why…although it’s disgusting, I think the fact that they were never afraid to show their faith made it uncool to admit to being a fan. Some people never cease to amaze me. I will never understand it. But I am admittedly right here right now that I am a fan (I know, a little too late) and I’m the coolest Grammy around 😁😁😁 PS: I cannot get enough of this song. It’s on my playlist.
Who says the Osmonds dont rock are hiding in a cave. They were louder than Zeppelin and my ears rang after for days. 😂 They should def be in the RNR Hall of Fame! ❤
Man I did NOT come here expecting sparks to shoot out of a keytar!!! That was wild!!!
The Osmonds going heavy rock and by God it works! Aways my favourite of theirs
Rest in peace Wayne 😢
As brilliant now as it was 50 years ago. Timeless.
I still enjoy all their music, be it pop or rock. This family is legendary.
Love this song. Jay and Wayne are awesome.
They always looked like they were having fun together, bless their hearts 💕
Well they weren’t. It was all fake like there religion.
The first time I heard this song I was flabbergasted to learn it was the Osmonds. I never thought they could make a rock song like this. I had to go out and buy the record.
Something about this just puts a big 'ol smile on my face.
I get it. I laughed out loud when I heard it.
I am 60 years old and until today i had never heard of this song let alone the Osmonds singing it. Very good stuff. I gotta get out more.
I'm 62, the problem was we were too cool for Osmonds in the 70's. Good tune
@@joeholland9593I wasn't that cool. I remember when this song came out.

Just love the Osmond brothers young and old. Loved them for over 50 yrs.
There it is..right there…the “show” in show business. Gotta love this.
Happy 50 years Osmond Brothers!! Still playing this song and loving it
Just imagine if they had been allowed to make more songs like this.
CLK K - The Osmonds were a rock band pretending to be a pop group! ;)
Yep
I imagined them making more songs like that, then I imagined how much taller our landfills wuld be.
yep once again
Its awful, should be against the law, watch the original video back in the day, i pissed myself laughing and people like this!
"Crazy Horses is one of the greatest hard rock songs of all time. And I'm not kidding".
- Joe Elliott, Def Leppard
He wasn’t wrong x
I ran across a video on TH-cam that talks about how the Osmonds influenced or were admired by Ozzy, John Bonham, Rick Wakeman and KISS. Pretty amazing. I had the album when I was kid.
🤦🏻♂️

Wow that's awesome that 👏 😎 😀 Osmond are rare
They need to be in the rock and roll hall of fame now!!!!!🎉
Now yr pushing it...
OMG after FIFTY YEARS they've still got more than some bands EVER had at the height of their careers. WOW
You must be a moron.
You must be a moron.
Best song they ever released and have always preferred the group together rather than any solo or duet acts

The Osmond Five were the greatest in all the land of rock.

The Osmond's crazy horse's fifty year old good song
Looks like the brothers are having fun
Imagine how much fun Marie is having on stage with all her brothers🥰that has to be awesome..
It would be even better if we'd never heard of these guys. Five older gentlemen come out and rock the hell out of this track! Minds blown....

I started writing songs because of them. They were one of my biggest influences, especially after that album called, “the plan”. Very deep album.
Fantastic album.

Amazing The Osmonds kicks a**s

I wanted to hear Merrill sing the bridge by himself. It was my favorite part of the song
All ways liked the osmond brothers. When I think of the 70’s I think of them. You guys rock, 🎸🥁🎤
Wayne and Jimmy are My Faves Love 💘 ❤ 💕 💗 💓 💖

This song was used in an advert on British TV in 98/99ish. It was an absolute revelation to me and my mates in our early 20s then.
Best Band! 😍😍😍
It’s a real shame the Osmonds weren’t allowed to play more rock and roll
So true! 🤘🤘
Their dad and manager misguided them a bit on those decisions.
Totally agree!
It is a shame. I think they would have been happier.
It's what they wanted to do but even the rock stations didn't want to play it when they found out it was the Osmonds, a "boy band." They had a lot of trouble trying to shake that image.

Who says the Osmonds dont rock are hiding in a cave. They were louder than Zeppelin and my ears rang after for days. 😂 They should def be in the RNR Hall of Fame! ❤
Louder than Zeppelin?
You’ve never been to a Led Zeppelin gig that’s certain.
Behave yourself. 😅😅😅😅😅
HECK YEAH THEY SHOULD!!!!!
Come on girl!
They are in the category of the Jackson 5 if anything.
And the Mighty Zeppelin is an all time great! Alongside with the Beatles!
@@raymondrochajr9621What is wrong with the Jackson 5? The Osmonds were a great band. Zeppelin had some good tunes too.
@@Lensmaster1
Nothing. I personally don't think they are not in the same category as The Beatles and Zeppelin IMO.
The Osmonds channeling their Inner Zeppelin ⚡️🐎
My very 1st concert! Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods opened for them. (Billy Don't Be A Hero)
