@@TheAskald Black Album is not a good metal benchmark, none of the songs outside of Spit Out the Bone are creatively comparable to Metallica's heyday. The album overall for the most part seems like a recycled collage ( especially the solos, well its Hammett so that's understandable ) of KEA, RTL and MoP. Its better than Death Magnetic, but that's about it and that's not saying much.
@@sainandanramakrishnan4812 KEA is outstanding for the rawness, sheer adrenaline and energy, but on the songwriting I don't think it's better than HardwiredTSD. Well of course RTL, MOP and AJFA are better but these 3 are metal classics so it doesn't say much either. I'm not defending HTSD has a great album, but I think it's solid.

They are similar to Tool in a way, odd time signatures, polyrythms and great technicality. I actually saw Meshuggah open for Tool while they were on their Lateralus tour. By far the best thing I have ever seen in my life. If you do watch Meshuggah - Clockworks, please do yourself a favor and watch the drummer play through of it. You will not be disappointed!
