It's a fair summer night. I'm out doing my run. I rest in the end of it in a field of grass looking upon the stars. I've been in an 8 month journey back from a major depression. The wind is fresh on my face. The grass is prickly on my knees. This music is playing and I'm crying in gratitude that I've survived it and that I'm still here, listening to this beautiful music on this night. Thank you mister Reich! 🙏🎶❤

I listen to this almost every morning doing yoga. Reich’s rhythmic structures make it easier, for me, to focus on the breath. And I find this piece indescribably joyful which adds to the yogic experience. A wonderful combination.

There is a TINY bit of the score on the album box. I had mallet instruments and an organ so I had some fun putting the first few seconds of this together on a multi-track. Listening to this on vinyl will make you cry, it's so beautiful. The feeling is straight up euphoric.

The wall of harmonic sound generated by the voices and organ drone over the shimmering waves of mallets augmenting and stretching the perception of time. The counterpoint is dense and rewards the listener with sudden lateral tonal shifts. Mathematical, ecstatic and sublime.
